MPG is very good empty and very bad while pulling the camper, which was to be expected.5,500 miles so far with no issues.Re: Best place to purchase replacement moldings? This looks to be the correct molding. RV Molding-WhiteBest place to purchase replacement moldings?I have a 2013 Rockwood 2702ss. We got home from a camping trip on Sunday and noticed the roof edge molding was coming off. Upon inspection it looks as though both sides need to be replaced. I'm talking about the vinyl strip that covers the screws that hold on the rubber membrane roof. Can anybody point me in the right direction as to the best place to purchase the CORRECT replacement? Thanks,Re: F150 3.15 axle 10 speed equals 3.55 axle 6 speed TurnThePage wrote: I'm interested in more real time reviews of that 10 speed transmission. Everything I've read/heard so far doesn't make it sound all that awesome. Maybe just some fine tune programming... We have almost 4,000 miles on ours. It does shift funny when everything is cold. Once the engine/transmission are warm it shifts fine. I towed my camper with it for the first time last weekend. It did decide to kick down to second gearing while braking down a hill. 5,500 RPM's seemed a little excessive. Other than that, it worked fine. It likes 7th gear mostly while towing.Re: F150 3.15 axle 10 speed equals 3.55 axle 6 speedMy 2017 EB has a 3:31 rear end.Re: Anyone towing with the '17 F150 and 10 speed? lly-zf6 wrote: Made the first trip this weekend. About 60 miles each way, some 2 lane about 35 miles interstate pulling ~ 7400 lbs bumper hitch. The truck shows 9.2 mpg on the lie-o-meter. The 10 speed was flawless. Ran in 8th @ 70. Would drop to 7th on the hills at about 2600 rpm. Way more power than my 5.3 Chevy. Adding Timbrens helped with the loose feeling. I think whats left is being caused by the junk p-series Goodyears that are on the truck. I too came from a 5.3 Chevy. The torque difference is incredible. Especially when towing.Re: Anyone towing with the '17 F150 and 10 speed? We have a 2017. I did a 700 mile road trip empty this weekend and averaged 22 MPG hand calculated. I've only towed our Rockwood 2702ss once. Plenty of power and the transmission did a nice job slowing the truck down when it came time to stop. It was very windy that day and it did not feel as stable as the 2007 Sierra with air bags that I have previously. I need to get more trips in before I make a fair assessment.Re: F150 5.0 vs TundraWe picked up a 2013 Rockwood 2702SS this weekend. The camper is 5,3xx pound dry. Almost 2,000 lbs heavier and 4' longer than the camper I towed with my GMC. The Ecoboost handled it with ease. There is what seems like an endless amount of power on tap compared to my 5.3 GM. It was very windy when we drove home and the truck did feel light to me. I could feel when a gust of wind hit the side of the camper. So far we are happy with our purchase. My wife drives the truck 8 miles each way to work every day. She is averaging 18 MPG. Only dislikes so far are start/stop and the shifts can be a little abrupt until the engine is up to temperature.Re: F150 5.0 vs Tundra Mike Up wrote: Just out of curiosity, what rear end did the 5.0L have, 3.31, 3.55, or 3.73?? I can't image the 5.0L feeling slow from 0 - 40mph unless it had the 3.31 differential. Both trucks I drove had the 3.31 rear end. It had plenty of power. It just wasn't as responsive down low as the Eco or Tundra.Re: Advice on frame damageThanks for the responses. We will bring it in on Monday and have it repaired.
