Then across Wyoming camping with the horses, to South Dakota and Crazy Horse, then Mt Rushmore, and Custer State park, off to Yellowstone, and out to Montana, then to Idaho, and into Washington. Stayed with friends camping and riding in Washington, Montana, and when it came time to head south, into Oregon, and ride at Clear lake, then to the Redwoods, and down the coastal side of Kommifornia. My 05 Cummins in my Ram did not miss a beat, and even got over 11 mpg coming across Wyoming, and east side of Oregon. and Home.Re: Is there a market for used jacks? As to selling jacks, I have been looking unsuccessfully for manual jacks for my old TC. It is the old kind that you pump up, and although they do work for the first half of lifting, I neither trust them, nor do they quite go high enough anymore to clear my Ram's back end. The last time I almost had a tip in the front as the wind here in the desert gusts un expectedly ! I even thought about trying to rebuild them with new o-rings, and seals, but was told it is a 50-50 propositon that they ever work again.Re: Looking at 2005 Dodge 3500 for out LanceI too have a 2005, 3500, but mine is single rear wheel. Wife and I took it from So. Cal., across 7 states, and four mountain ranges. The 48 RE trans was rebuilt 6 months before the trip with triple disc torque converter, modded valve body, billet in and out shafts, and extra high capacity clutches. I have just over 220,000 , and when we went on our trip we went over 11,000 miles of the west. From Yellowstone to Badlands, most of Utah, all of Oregon, and Washington, most of both South, and North Dakota, Montana, and Idaho. It also pulls a 28 ft 4 horse with living quarters trailer here in the desert south west for shows and horse camping. So, ... yeah! The 05 is a good year, and has been pulling like a champ. ( I would LOVE a PXRB exhaust brake, as I do replace pads, and rotors about every 50,000.)Re: Goodby Flo Re: Goodby FloI too understand.....My best buddy "Jake", was just 7 this year, and last month had a gran mal epileptic seizure. I was alone at home, and rushed to the emergency Vet as fast as I could once he came back. He was so confused about what just happened, and now that I think back, has done some funny stuff at times like lay on his back and thrust his feet straight up, while moaning.( may have been Petit Mal) Yes, "Jake" is back home, and doing well, although he is on Phenobarbital, and that is a heavy drug!!! His sister,"Jondy",whom we got the same day from the rescue as 10 week pups, seems fine, and does not understand why "Jake" is so attached to me, and so thirsty and hungry all the time. In fact she growled at him when he had following seizures the next day before the phenobarb took over.Re: Didn't use the camper at all this year.I've only been 4 times since last winter. Twice to the El Paso Mtns, for 4x4 trips towing my Jeep, and once to the High Sierras for getaways and Big Bear for some scouting. Now am going out to Ventura with the boat for some fishing for sand bass, and other rock fish. Wish me luck!Re: Turned away, told me they dont accept truck campers stufarmer wrote: First, we own a Truck Camper. I understand why we're refused in so many Campgrounds. Letting a Truck and Camper in an Rv Park is like letting a Mobile Home move into your neighborhood. Have you not seen what the average Truck and Camper looks like. It's embarrassing . The Clampets are here. They must be on Vacation. To harsh .. You've done it to yourselves. Brother them's fighten words !! LOL! I have in my travels thru most of the west, has found that only when folks do not take care of their equipment does this kind of DISCRIMINATION exist. I have experienced so many places where the only vehicles/campers/trailers/coaches, are old tarp covered dirty and in fact with dangerous looking people. We were exhausted one afternoon, and just outside Cave Junction Oregon, we pulled in and found a spot available. Found out later when we went to town to do some laundry, it was known as a tweeker village!!Re: Dryer Vent Tubing for Intake TubingSeems that Adamis does.Re: It only takes a second....Well welcome to "Kalifornia"....where drivers are the best in the world....driving 80MPH bumper to bumper! And you can now pay .71cents a gallon fuel tax.....on top of the federal and local taxesRe: Whazoo goes GrampingWell after not only reading the netire posting on RVNet, I also have seen the entire trip report! You my friend are a one in a million Granpa, and those two girls could not be sweeter lookin!! They look like I could just gobble them up! My daughter in law hates camping, and hates fish, and hates bugs, and- and -and-....so my grand daughter does not have the experience of campin YET! It is funny since my Son used to camp with us almost every week end in summer, and always loved to take the boat out too.
