I found out when black mold appeared through the wallpaper. Service, at my cost, fixed the issue.Re: Mouse activityCats ... on our property we actually leave the hood open on our truck in the barn so the cats keep creepy crawlers from chewing on the wires! I'm not a cat person, but having them on the property (not in the house) works wonders.Re: tarp over class C?If you have a roof mounted AC .... won't that act to keep the snow from accumulating?Re: Ovenight in a Truck StopJust completed a Texas to California trip over two weeks ... The rest stops and "truck stops" were all packed by truckers on I-40 and I-10. Very little room to pull an RV into for a quick nap. Moisheh - when you are working; feel free to put money into a hotel room as we had to put money into a camp site - hotels need to make a living too and your sleeping in your truck takes away from them.Re: Roof AC with ducts.Good suggestionsRe: Livermore, CA RV park?? monthly/ weekly rentI don't know of any in Livermore .... there are a couple of campgrounds in Vacaville but that's going to be a 30 - 45 minute commute.Re: New Class C, change driving and fueling habits? My wife and I have begun using gas gift cards from Chevron, etc. One, you receive a discount at the pump and second - its an information protection issue ... we've had our credit cards "hacked" several times while driving across the country ... with the gift cards, no such issue and never have to go back inside to the cashier to call in for permission or restart the pumps.Re: Opinions on our stopsWe have a 17 year old and 7 year old (please, don't do the math). Our daughter has been in 30 states already. Of course when we took our trip through the mid west her response to her friends was "well, we saw a lot of red rocks". When we got married we made a pact - our children would see as many of the states as possible before we took them overseas ... always bothered me when people say how great other countries are without seeing the US. Now she can have something to compare to when traveling overseas.Re: No 12 volt power. What to check. We had similar issue on way to Florida ... the ground connection from the batteries was rusted and not a clean contact.Re: Onan 5000 won't start (ignition problems?)I found that my ground wire had rusted away from its connection point. Good to freshen the connection as rjxj advised.
