If it doesn’t conform to accepted ‘standards’ that is nothing to do with me. My 2019 hemi gets about the same MPG towing my 5er as my old 2004 Cummins. I was surprised when it worked out that way, but it did. Comparing a modern vehicle to a 15 year old vehicle has little value. A lot of innovation occurs in 15 years. Any 2019 vehicle is superior to its 2004 version. That's comparing apples to oranges. Those 2 trucks are not even remotely close.Re: How do you decide how much to spend on an RVBuy what you want and enjoy it now. You don't want to be sitting around years later thinking "I wish we had done this or that". It's too late then.Re: Really Dusty Roads? Would this be viable in the US?I've tried opening a forward facing roof vent on 2 travel trailers while going down dusty dirt roads. I can tell you that it doesn't help one bit keeping the dust out.Re: Traveling from Ramona CA to Needles CA - advice pleaseMmmm...Needles CA in July Results for Needles, CA · Choose area Mostly sunny 114°F°C Precipitation: 0% Humidity: 14% Wind: 12 mph Weather Monday Mostly sunnyRe: Fifth wheel Jerking with gas truck... not as noticeable Cummins12V98 wrote: They are still having issues. Look at the youtube video "Why We Ditched The Andersen Hitch". I did s simple search "Andersen Ultimate 2 hitch failures". There are just as many "why we love the Anderson hitch" articles out there as well. Most people simply hate the Anderson hitch because of stuff they read on the internet which is ALWAYS overblown and exaggerated. Almost none of their reasons come from first-hand knowledge, just hearsay. ANDERSEN HITCH FAILURE RATE It’s impossible to determine the exact failure rate of Andersen hitches as the majority are only minor and go unreported. Most drivers deal with the hitch failure themselves without reporting it or taking Andersen to court. There have been no major court cases involving damages caused by an Andersen failure.Re: MGVWR and problems titling trailer Oreonut wrote: dieseltruckdriver wrote: Take your trailer to a CAT scale first. They are certified weights so you will know for sure what your weight is. If you really are over that much, strip the trailer and then hit the CAT scale again. When you are good there head to the DMV with the CAT scale ticket in hand. Then you can get it licensed for your trip. Thanks! Heading to a CAT scale on Saturday. Everyone I talk to from the dealer to the DMV say they have never seen this happen before. IDK .... weird for sure. Please let us know the outcome with your problem.Re: Ram 6.7 no start M.R.E. wrote: Tried jumping to start, still just one click. I think it must be a fuse. Power to every thing else. Have been pulling for 45 years. I think I know what I’m doing and not interested in debate. We carry 100 imperial gallons which is bigger than the US gal. Many times we have pulled 1400 plus miles before filling. I pull between 60 and 70 mph. So if you're comparing Imperial gallons to U.S. gallons perhaps you're also measuring kilometers traveled and KPH. So those 1400 "miles" you claim to have gotten only equal out to 869.91 actual miles. That I can believe.Re: RV wind deflectors do they work we will see fj12ryder wrote: Okay, that makes a bit more sense since the Imperial gallon is about 20% larger than the US gallon. That translates to around 11 mpg. I can believe that. Nope. An imperial gallon is equal to 1.20095 U.S gallons so it is smaller.
