I didn't want the auto-level, but have almost everything else. We've just had it for a few months, but really love it!Re: Andersen Hitch OwnersI've got small padlocks throug the big pins in place of the clips. If they want it they'll have to cut them off, and then at least I can tell my insurance agent it was locked....:)Re: Recommendation for Tow Vehicle Bed Cover minnow wrote: Gpoing through the same thing myself. A concern I have is that most (if not all) the soft roll up covers attach to the side of the truck bed top reducing the width of the bed. Will the frame of the cover make contact with the pinbox when making a sharp turn ? I don't know. I just equipped my 2014 Ram with an Extang Trifecta. The frame folds with the cover giving you complete width and standard height. My Truxedo cover (which was really nice also) had a frame or rail that was going to reduce clearance on top of the bed by an inch, plus extend inward 3" on each side. In setting up the new 5th wheel, it was clear that it would interfere sooner or later. The Trifecta is working out really well.Re: 5th wheel and tonneau coverI'm thinking I'll need to get a Tri-fold. I really like my Truxedo LoPro QT, but the frame extends 1" above and 3" inward. I'm betting it would interfere or get rubbed.Re: Andersen Ultimate and in bed fuel tankThe pin box can be oriented either way. The gooseneck mount hitch itself cannot.Re: Stumped by dinette table on new camperBe careful with that finger pinching design! It's really pretty easy once you do it a time or two, but keep your fingers out of the pinch points!Re: Andersen Aluminum Ultimate Hitch RedesignedThe most productive and informational part of this post, is that I'll now be using the expression "where you can stand on a tuna can and see 20 miles"! Thanks RustyJC! :)Re: Correct set up of 5th wheel hitchNice!Re: Correct set up of 5th wheel hitchI'm hoping so! I'll make momma and the kid/dogs a step! (I'm 6'4"). It will most likely be another Boondocker/Off-road Edition! :)Re: Correct set up of 5th wheel hitchWe are currently in process of going from a TT to a 5th wheel. I've got a 2014 Ram 2500 Cummins 4x4 CC SB. This subject has been on my mind a lot! We ended up ordering a 2016 Jayco Eagle HT 28.5 BHXB. It is the longest/heaviest/biggest in the "half ton towable" HT line. After reading some of the posts on being nose high, I had our dealer check with our Jayco rep regarding height. Jayco is apparently trying to address the issue for 2016. They added a 2" square spacer between the spring pack and axle (axle already on the bottom side), and put a 2" lower hole on the spring shackle brackets which they will set up if requested on order ( I did). Plus, I specified the 16" E rated tires and wheels, which should get me another 1.5". The Jayco rep assured my dealer the only trucks that are a problem have been lifted. Mine is stock height. I'm already figuring I will most likely have to remove my Truxedo tonneau cover. If not for the inch it adds to rail height, for the 2.5 it extends inward! When it's here, set up level, 6-8" of clearance above the bed, etc. THEN I'll rest easy! :)
