I (AGAIN THIS IS MY OPINION, GOOD FOR ME NOT NESSARILY EVERYONE) Yuma gives me warmth, dry very little humidity, it gets windy but not rainy. For us we love the foothills and we bought an RV lot with 4 hookups. You should try being there in the summer. The heat of Arizona along with the humidity of Florida. :) We are here now......104 to 115 and zero humidity highest has been 25%.....in Indiana we stay inside in the winter get in a warm car go to a warm store.....here we are inside cool house, get in a cool car, go to a cool store same difference. We love Yuma year rou8nd......and again Yuma is not for everybody, like I said my opinion I don't ask anyone to agree with me. We have wintered in South Texas, Florida, Arizona, and Mexico. Arizona is my favorite. In Yuma Foothills it may get down in the 40's at night but the next day it is back in the 60's or 70's. We liker the Foothills so much we bought a lot so now we don't have rent to pay just utilities. We can keep our door open all day long and have zero bugs come into the house, sit outside and not be swatting at bees or flies or knats. I love that.Re: where or how to find an overnite stayWhen we travel and want overnight parking we look up a walmart, ask inside if it is ok to stay, then park to the outside of the lot away from where the semi park. We always go inside and purchase some item...groceries we need, pet food, and so on. I probably spend more inside the store than a rv park would cost. Ilike because of the easy in and out and there are usually several rv's there so we get to meet new friends.Re: Best Website To Find Snowbird RV Lots For Rent ford-willy wrote: Where would be the best online sites to find RV lots "for rent" in winter snowbird locations ? there are several private lots in the YUMA foothills for rent. I had a rental agent renting mine for me. I will not be renting next year but she was very good and has several people she represents Billie Ward .....yumarealestate@yahoo.com..... ph 928-580-9468. I am sure she could help you find something give her a call.Re: Radiator cap removal? My grandpa told me years ago "righty is tighty, lefty is loosey" and thisworks 100 % of the timeRe: Moab RV ParksI don't know about parks but along 128 from I-70 to Moab is one of the most beautiful drives and there are several camping areas along the river.Re: Any of regret going fulltime RvingWe have been full timing for 10 years. We went in planning to travel for 10 and quit. We have purchased a place in Yuma, Arizona and come October we will move into our place in Yuma. Have never regretted our decision. We have traveled all of the USA including Alaska and down to the middle of Mexico and loved every minute. That is something you can not do in a bricks and sticks. We have pictures and memories that we could never get off our front porch in Lebanon Indiana.Re: Unusual places you have stayed the night.this is not the strangest place but absolutely the most peaceful. Pull over area along the Alaskan highway with a stand of trees between us and the road. The strangest place was in Las Vegas, we had some brake work done and the garage was really small. No place to park so we spent about 1 week sleeping in the motorhome parked on a side street in Las Vegas. That was strange and a little nerve racking.
