I had to have my local machine shop raise the trailer 6 inches. That did the job, trailer is level, 5 1/2 to 6 inches clearance. Cost me $900 and they did a real nice job with 6 inch braces between the box frame pieces they put in. I wish I could weld like that guy!133Views0likes0CommentsRe: Raising trailer
I had to do the same when I traded trucks, except I had to raise it 6 inches. I had a machine shop put a subframe somewhat longer than the outside ends of the spring hangers, with a brace in between the two front and rear. Solved the problem. I had the same problem when I got my Silverado 2500. I had the local machine shop put 6 inch rectangular steel tubing between the frame of the trailer and the spring hangers. Solved the problem & cost $900. I also have a utility trailer, 5th wheel, and I purchased the tubing and did the job on it myself.333Views0likes0Comments
