An air 'conditioner' conditions the air by REMOVING moisture from it and then cools it by blowing inside air over the cooling coils. When I run my a/c in humid conditions, the water (condensate) is quite visible as it runs off the roof and down the side of the motorhome. If this isn't happening on your unit, I would suspect a problem with the a/c. But since you say the air temp is 70 degrees, I would think the a/c is doing its job. If you feel the a/c is not removing the moisture sufficiently, I would invest in a small dehumidifier. As for the storage spaces that do not receive conditioned air, Damp Rid would be a solution. Also, today's refrigeration units of any kind no longer use Freon. Not overthinking this as how do you dehumidify in cold temperatures? You cant run the air conditioner when its cold as you are already cold inside the RV. You need to run the AC and the heater both to cancel out the temperature; while still drying. Getting a "freon" (yes I know its not that chemical) type dehumidifier will require the space (likely will put in in the shower) and plug it in to drain the water, as it cycles electric use. My space is small (18 foot interior living space) to reduce the humidity in. Liking the idea of the alternative damp rid chemical.Re: Mail forwardingMake sure you are looking for mail forwarding only; and not DOMICILE service. Two different things and good to be smart about the difference.Re: Thousand Trails/Encore Trails Collection info?1) do not think it is same renewal date. TT and TC are different dates, but will need to double check. 2) We stayed in cape cod (Dennis) for two weeks in early fall. It was great on the TC plan. 3) The alternative is the RPI program ans that costs $125 for a discount on the campgrounds you will stay at. Discounts get you into the $20 to $30 a night range for a lot of other campgrounds.Re: skylight condensationthere are foam insert things you can place up there. You need to insulate anything that shows condensation so there is less temperature change difference.Dehumidify - Air Conditioner & Electric Space Heater FIGHT!After looking at various de-humidification processes am finding that I can drop humidity by having my small electric space heater work to increase temperature, while having my Air Conditioner work to cool. Just needed to find the sweet spot between the two independent thermostats so they do not come on constantly. Result is about 70F and 55% humidity. So far it feels comfortable. In Florida winter (Orlando) and humidity is high outside. Alternatives to above? 1) Use DAMP RID in strategic areas. Likely will do this anyway as its good policy to keep the humidity down and reduce chance of mold. 2) get a good Peltier Junction dehumidifier device. These suck heat out of the air with electricity (inefficiently, and humidity will condense). Very quiet but effective in smaller spaces and only at certain humidity. Think they can drop humidity to 60% or lower, best case; and only over several hours of the day. If you get one, get the one with the largest capacity. 3) Buy a refrigerator dehumidifier device (uses Freon). These can drop humidity faster and dump more humidity out of the air (70 pints a day for some). Many feel they need this if they do several air exchanges (open doors) during the day. Still we like to have some fresh air exchanges, so we do turn off all devices and just deal with humidity on occasion with strategic fans.Re: Washington Post Storyyou need to have a DOMICILE state/county/town for tax/registration reasons and voting. Primary residence will mean nothingRe: Slide Leakinganother issue could be a false leak. We had water coming off a window. It turned out to be moisture from the 60% humidity or higher when we get rain. Nothing to do with leaking. Pure speculation, but do consider that in any context.Re: Cellphone Based Data Providers Recommendationbe careful with any third party promises, as they are LOWEST PRIORITY at cell towers and when roaming. The only towers are ATT, VERIZON, SPRINT, TMOBILE. and thats it.TT seesaw slight sea sickness bounceWe get a little sea sick when we drive. the TT bounces slightly (not constant, mostly every minute or so) Do we need : 1) new shocks? 2) Air shocks? 3) Spring booster or more leaf springs?Re: Tire Monitoring Systemssure decide on if you need one and go from there. Many TPMS have a review or two about how they do not update every fifteen minutes. Some can give a FALSE OKAY reading. They are costly at $300 for the cheap ones, and twice as much for the expensive versions.
