Final outcome on my IC2000, second unit returned and going back to a regular Inverter with out all the bells and whistles. The Carmanah folks here in Canada have been excellent to deal with. Thanks, it is dissapointing. As I to only wanted the stand alone GP 2000 WATT INVERTER as well.Trailer transfer switch was sufficient already. Got caught up in the sales manager speech TWO 50 AMP Legs/ transfer switch, dollar for dollar best bang, blah blah blah all in one thing. My Gut instincts were right after all. Some of the issues i have been encountering while putting it through its paces.Original unit was sent back, as it had an annoying issue with cooling Fans trying to Spool up 2-3 times a minute. Not sure of the type of bearing/bushings they use but a squeaky whiny noise through the quiet evening became very annoying. A replacement was sent but it to also does the same thing. More serious things that i have encountered (with replacement) it randomly will select to run in Inverter mode while hooked to shore power! very bad when you have fridge and roof fan running or AC, I Use solar to charge batteries with sufficient wattage to keep two L16's charged. After returning to the trailer after one day away, the unit took itself off of "Charger Standby" and was attempting to charge the batteries, even though it was suppose to be on Standby. Yes, i have been putting it through the ringer so to speak, i have had it installed for a few months now, regularly using it for the last month. it works very well, when inverting and or using shore power. Very clean power maintains 60hz when in inverting mode. Its got one little glitch that Go Power has been assisting me with.There service has been excellent. A very solid strong 2000 Watts.
