Thanks for all the feedback! My initial question was more towards the tow capacity of the truck, since the invoice sticker said it came with the heavy duty suspension. Trying to find actual info is kinda hard. I know the 5.3 is the weaker link and it has 150k miles. 6000lbs was my goal for loading, don't do much dry camping so usually will have water hook ups and a dump station in the park. Im in Washington, and going to the coast is pretty flat until you hit the coast and same with going to the mountains is pretty flat until you get there. I already know I won't keep up with my father in law in his duramax pulling his 35ft fully loaded toy hauler!349Views0likes0Comments2002 silverado 1500
I know it has been asked about a thousand times but what can my truck tow? It is a 2002 1500 extended cab 4x4 5.3l. 3.73 gears. From what I am seeing is 8000lbs. My truck invoice says it has the tow package, which includes, transmission cooler, locking rear diff, heavy duty suspension, 8 wire trailer harness. So just curious if with that if the tow capacity stayed at 8000lbs. Thanks8.2KViews0likes25Comments
