They work great and the baseplate is practically invisible.Re: Am I completely crazy?YES!Re: Airstream 3500 Lounger feedback?Bought my first AI in 2009, kept it six years and traded last year for a new one. Both units were Lounge models. The 2009 was on the 22 foot chassis and the new one is on the 3500 EXT chassis which is 24 feet long. I find them very easy to drive and never have a problem parking where ever we go. We prefer traveling in it rather than one of our cars. The lounge model is the most versatile as you have multiple seating areas or a large bed in the back when needed, We, my wife and our golden retriever just traveled to Colorado and back from north Georgia and enjoyed the trip. Try the Airstream Interstate Forum for any questions or research.Re: Key WestAlmost all rest stops in Florida allow overnights. I have spent the night at multiple rest stops on I75, I95, and I10. We always go up 55 from Boise in our 45 foot prevost bus towing a Jeep Wrangler four door. Beautiful ride up much of it along side the Payette river. Some parts of 55 are a little curvy and tight but we have never had a problem.Re: Any problems with 3.0 V6 Mercedes engine on Class B VanWe have a 2014 Airstream sprinter with the engine. We had a 2009 Airstream with same engine and we are on our second Mercedes GL with same engines, all without a problem for past six years.Re: provo, utahThanks MLATION highway 6 was what worried meRe: provo, utahQuestion? Will the suggested route past I 70, 6 / 191 going north to I 15 have any tough mountain passes for a 45 foot bus towing a 4 door Jeep? I will be going from the Breckenridge Colorado area to Park City. The suggested route would be shorter than my usual route if it would work.
