Much of the information above is incorrect. Cars are and recently were nationalized at Nuevo Laredo. These are 2006 and 2007 which are registered in the US (not Canadian registered vehicles). These are 2009 and older, NAFTA made, both American and Canadian registered and none were required to go to the border. the furthest they went was to a local OXXO for a photo proving vehicle is in Mexico.
