I have used the 7 lug terminal box in the past and it makes checking wiring a breeze now. Very easy to add more back up lights with one as well.Re: Lance 880 on a 95 F-250 Probably to much #'s?I wouldn't be afraid I bought my 880 from a couple that had it on a 96 F-250 supercab. I put it on my 96 dodge 2500 and now my 2004 3500 dodge srw. Only thing I did was upgrade tires and put on Stable loads. Really nice floor plan. BeefieRe: Interesting trip to say the leastWell just look at the bright side. You are still using your camper. Mine has been put away since the middle of November. Looking forward to april when the snow melts and I can get it back out again. Keep sending the pictures , keeps that itch to go camping fresh. BeefieRe: Lance cab strutsThanks for the pictures guys. Just came back from 3 days of camping, and the first run with the new truck to me and the lance. Only time it got bad was on the cut concrete hwys. Black top roads were okay. I will be ordering a set of struts. Anybody no of a good supplier of these? BeefieRe: Lance cab strutsThanks ck1 , that's one for the 31" strut. I have read that the 25.5" strut is what fits . Nice to no that a 31" will fit as well. Do you have any pictures , I would like to see wear it mounts in comparison to wear mine is mounted on my camper. I understand that some people say they work great and others think they are a waste of money. I never had them on my old truck, but that was a standard cab long bed. My new truck is a quad cab long bed, seams like I get more bounce in the cab area. Or it could just be these quality Wisconsin roads getting worse that we travel on. Any body else running Cab struts? BeefieRe: Best A/T tire and size for TC?I have the tera grapplers by Nitto as well in the 285/70 R17 rated at 3750 @80psi. One thing I found out is that Toyo tires owns Nitto Tires and has joined some type of rim/ wheel association. This means that the tires that were once rated heavy for us srw guys are getting there ratings dropped to meet the factory rim specs. I noticed on the Toyo website that a lot of there tires are only at 3195@80 psi now wear they used to be much higher. This came out of my tire dealers mouth so I believe there is some truth to it. Very few companys in the wheel business are making 3500+ rated wheels , and if you do find what you like , trying to find the right offset/ backspacing is even worse. Having not enough backspacing pushes the wheel out to far and puts undue strain on your wheel bearings. Just my 2 cents worth. BeefieLance cab strutsIam wondering who has the lance cab over struts on a Dodge quad cab 2003-2009. I called Lance today and was told buy two people that lance doesn't have struts for a quad cab and the third person said a crew cab would work. I need to no which struts to order? One is 20.5" long for a standard cab, I have these already way to short. The second one is a 25.5" for a extended cab. The third one is a 31.5" for a crew cab. They are measuring just the black body of the strut not the overall length. So who has what. BeefieRe: Lance truck camper for F350I have a 880 as well. I believe I was at 10,360 lb with My 96 dodge 2500 standard cab long bed . All I did was add the tork lift stable loads and the truck road level, handled really well. I have now up graded to a 2004 dodge 3500quad cab srw and am at 11,??? something. I will be adding the stable loads to this truck as well. I would avoid the airbags. You do need to make a platform for the lance to raise it at least 2" , that way it will clear the taller ford cabs. BeefieRe: So what did you do to your Truck Camper today?Cut the tree off my truck from the tornado that came thru. 6000 in damages to truck no damage to the lance and the on board generator ran the fridge and freezer in the house till power came on. Only thing that sucks is I have only had my new to me truck for a week and a hafe. O well nobody got hurt that is the main thing. BeefieRe: Can you use a truck camper with a headache rack on truck? It would be doable. Just takes some measuring to figure out what you need for room. If you build one make sure you post some pics, gives other people ideas as well. Beefie
