With your budget you would be in the 2003- 2005 era, perhaps a little newer if you are persistent.Re: I think Im gonna sell mine..??Regarding Motorhomes of Texas. I just shopped there for a Foretravel MN. I was impressed with the salesman. Seemed honest and very professional. I would be comfortable consigning a MH with them. I may still buy one from them, but I think I found a better deal on a used one down the street at the Foretravel manufacturer.Re: How much wind is too much? Remember you have a high vehicle with more resistance to the wind pushing it. White knuckle driving is no fun. Thanks for all the comments. Yep, We stayed put for today. Consistent 30 mph winds and gusts that were likely 50 mph. It would have not been a fun day of drivingRe: How much wind is too much? path1 wrote: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xn3DQNqgzAA Old, but still true. yep, that was the video that went through my head, when I heard the weather reportRe: How much wind is too much? Thanks for the comments. It looks like most of the high winds are from Rapid City north. I am traveling south which should help. Right now I am thinking I will just wait until Sunday and have a much easier drive. I have a Yukon and a 25' TTHow much wind is too much?I was planning a move tomorrow, but just watched the weather forecast and they are predicting a front to move through Rapid City SD tomorrow. Looks like they are predicting winds of 25 - 30 mph. There will likely be gusts higher. I have driven in light winds but I don't think anything that high. I am thinking that is too much to drag a TT through, Anyone have an opinion?Re: Help small inverter quit workingI just blew the internal fuses on my 750 watt inverter. The cover has to be removed and in mine there are 3, 35 amp spade type fuses.Re: 1/2 ton pickup + 6000 lb TT on 5000 mi western tripI am currently at Glacier Park in Montana. 2.5 months into a 6 month trip. From NW Arkansas to Carlsbad to Santa Fe to Las Vegas to Yosemite, then north through Idaho and then east to Glacier. My TV is a 2005 Yukon (5.3L, 3.42 rear end) and a 5500 pound TT. I have not had any real problems going up or down any any of the passes. Yes I did slow down to 30 in first gear on a couple of 5 or 6 mile 8% grades, but mostly maintained hwy speed on all of them. You should have no problem with your rig.Re: Is there a quiet NON inverter generator? Gulfcoast wrote: SuperGen has the Champion inverter reconditioned units from time-to-time for just $399 shipped. I saw some on eBay yesterday. But, their new 2000 watt Champions are very reasonable too. SuperGen I bought two of the 2000 w Champions with the covers and the parallel kit for a bit over $800. Both units looked like new. If you jut need power for charging batteries and such, I would buy one of the Champion 2k inverter generators. The strength to pull the starter cord is minimalRe: Help pxt wrote: marquette wrote: Where did you get your tow capacity rating? 5200 lb with the Z82 towing package seems like a pretty light rating. Is there a rating listed with a WDH and a listing without a WDH? I know my Suburban rating change with or without a WDH. I called chevy manufacturer What size engine? What does the yellow door sticker show for trailer capacity? As stated above, that seems low for a Tahoe. My 2005 Yukon says 6900 as max tow.
