We called Grand Design and spoke to a CSR and he claims that is the way it's designed. I am just trying to figure out whether it's worth calling them and speaking with someone to find out if it can be rerouted and since it seems to be an engineering flaw will they pay for it. Just wanting some outside opinions.Re: Outside Kitchen Sink DrainIt is by Grand Design ... they've only been in business since 2012 so they are new. We turned on the outside kitchen sink to clear the line and it didn't drain ... we tried to figure out why it was stopped up and we followed the pipe from the sink to the drain ... not routed to the gray water tank. It is routed straight out .. the pipe runs to the other side of the trailer and has a cap on the end. Open it up and it drains right out on the ground.Outside Kitchen Sink DrainWe purchased a new fifth wheel and the sink on the outside kitchen drains into a pipe that runs directly to the other side and has a cap on it. Remove the cap and it drains directly onto the ground. This is the first model I have heard of where the outside kitchen sink is not routed to a gray water tank. It seems useless to have a sink that drains directly to the ground or to have to carry an external tank to drain it into. Has anyone heard of this design before?
