Lucked out and got both inside th parks. Was not so lucky a few weeks back when we tried for inside Yosemite in the summer. Booked up in seconds and maybe even a second. ?? The closest you can get to the Yosemite Valley from outside the park is Indian Flat. It is in El Portal about 30 ish minutes to the valley. It satisfies the close part but it is pretty basic as far as RV parks go. It is on 140 close to the west gate. Just a another option to consider if close to Yosemite is a major consideration. Have fun! THANKS!!!!! I just booked Indian Flat in El Portal. I have been looking on the Northern & Eastern side of San Francisco. I have been digging for a few hours and still haven't found a good one.Re: Redwood National Park 4runnerguy wrote: We stay at Harris Beach SP in OR and commute down to the Redwoods from there. OR SP's are great. Only 30 amps though. But you shouldn't need your a/c there so 30 amps should do you (average highs along the coast are around 70 in the summer -- not quite as warm as Louisiana!). Thanks!Re: Redwood National Park RckyMtnVia wrote: Another vote for Ancient Redwoods. We stayed there a few years ago when we had a diesel pusher and toad. Plenty of room and a beautiful setting. Thanks! Just booked! Getting excited now!Re: Redwood National Park 2gypsies wrote: Ancient Redwoods RV is a great park for big rigs. You're right in the middle of the huge trees and there are many wonderful hikes to take among them. To post a reply to a post, just click on the 'QUOTE' button and add your reply at the very end.
