The closest you can get to the Yosemite Valley from outside the park is Indian Flat. It is in El Portal about 30 ish minutes to the valley. It satisfies the close part but it is pretty basic as far as RV parks go. It is on 140 close to the west gate. Just a another option to consider if close to Yosemite is a major consideration. But you shouldn't need your a/c there so 30 amps should do you (average highs along the coast are around 70 in the summer -- not quite as warm as Louisiana!). We have been digging for a few hours now....looked at Orick, Klamath & Crescent. But, have not found one with 50 amps and good reviews. The Motorhome is 40'. DENNIS: I was just reading your post to my hubby and he says, "Oh, Dennis...I know him!" I said, "REALLY?!?!" LOL! He says, "I'm mean I read his blogs and post all the time!"
