I get my filters at Home Depot and change them at the start of every season.Re: Facebook Marketplace - looking for an RV.How many can your marketplace possibly have? Are you searching nation wide? Searching nationwide, so hundreds of listings; I scrolled down several pages before I found Class C in the size I was looking; I don't mind doing a fly and drive if I find the right floor-plan; FB seems to be a total waste of time so far - and it seems there is no easy way to filter results (and yes I was in the RV section); That was my original question -Facebook Marketplace - looking for an RV.First of, I'm not a big fan of FB and avoid it like the Plague. I've used Craiglist for years and have been super happy but looks like times are changing and people are moving to FB. I'm in the market for a small class c (Sprinter types are coming to the top of my list) and have started my search in all the usual places (RVtrader, RVT, Craigs). I've recently started looking on FB but it's either me or the search engine stinks. The listings are not broken down into classes (A, B, B+ C etc) and the only way I can whittle down the list is to insert "diesel" in the search engine (which may not catch all the ones I'm interested in). And when you find a listing - there is virtually no details and maybe a max of 3 photos. SO, is it me or is there a way to improve the search criteria? (and NO - I will NOT subscribe to FB)Re: Problems with past RV Parks you've stayed at?I stay almost exclusivity at Public camp grounds and can't think of a particular problem - most have a lots of space between sites, don't tolerate anti-social behaviour and are very clean/tidy; The only negative that comes to mind is that in NJ, the state park facilities are becoming run down - in Delaware it's exactly the opposite.Re: ReserveAmerica RefundsOP here: I have to apologize; After calling ReserveAmerica, I realized that I had booked under a credit card I rarely use and sure enough, I had been refunded within 3 days of receiving the email.ReserveAmerica RefundsI received and email from PA State parks telling my reservations had been cancelled due to the Cov19 shutdown and they were reimbursing me. The email also stated that the refunds were going to be handled through ReserveAmerica. Well, 16 days later I'm still waiting for my refund. Has anyone received their refund and how long did it take? (PS: how come it takes so long to refund a CC but takes hours to bill the CC for a reservation?)Re: Big Bend National Park closedThis may not be a bad thing; I was there last year during the gvmnt shutdown and the NP was really empty of people. I stayed at Terlingua (stone throw from the southern entrance) and had the whole place to myself (well almost!). No traffic, no backups, almost no one on the hiking trails..........etc. They did not block the entrances, so you could drive into the park as normal. I saw some people on the primitive sites along River? Road.Re: Colorado State Parks closureI don't understand this "no camping" policy either; Here in the NE, PA and NJ closed their parks to camping but not day use. I go to state/county parks every day for mountain biking and since the closure, there have been 2 or 3 times MORE people in the parks. I live next to a county park and the trails are packed with people. Normally outside the summer season, the campgrounds have maybe 10 spots occupied out of 170? sites. I don't get it. Keep the campgrounds open and the bathrooms closed.....Re: The RV LifeThis country has some REEEEALLY amazing places, views, food. It's good to hear you're back in - make the most of your opportunities, get out there and enjoy yourself; RVing alone in not too bad either, I go to places that do not interest my wife so spend time alone. I'm actually enjoying it more than I thought.Re: Death ValleyCA->Chicago: sights? boondocking. in April.I just spent 8 days in DV on a motorcycle ride - super sensational. There are plenty of places to camp - a few official campsites and lots of "remote" areas. I was told that you camp anywhere off the main roads as long as you are not blocking access. Lots of stuff to see - pick up a map at the visitor center; https://www.nps.gov/deva/learn/news/newspaper.htm This is a spectacular place - spend the time to "soak it all in"; Just down the road is Mojave - another spectacular landscape.
