But…… Advice I will not forgetRe: Cover advice for my Bigfoot 9.6I like what I’m seeing here, looking like the trend is towards recommending classic! Sure appreciate the advice, hope to hear others chime in. ( just read the Amazon reviews on this brand, they are mixed all over the place)Re: Cover advice for my Bigfoot 9.6 TxGearhead wrote: I've got a Classic Accessories. I'll be surprised if it makes it through this year. I just put it on after a trip last week and I think I have a new rip starting. If it lasts 2 years go buy a lottery ticket. That said for about $150 on Amazon if only lasts a year so be it. There's a much more expensive brand out there but I can't recall the name. Yikes, I figured there were some out there like that! Thanks!Cover advice for my Bigfoot 9.6Hello all, Just returned from my 4200 mile journey bringing my just bought 2000 Bigfoot 9.6 from Colorado Springs to my Alaska home. It was a great trip and we never paid to overnight ANYWHERE. Didn't even use one full bottle of propane to warm it, heat H2O, run fridge and the stove for 12 days. Loved the air bags on the truck that came with it. Now I'm ready to get a cover over it!!! Looking for advice from people who have previously bought covers. Recommendations or which to avoid! Sure appreciate any advice. Thanks!!Re: Bigfoot, Northern Lite Dinette Bed SizeHey Dave, I'm just down the road from you in Sterling. I just bought a 2000 Bigfoot 9.6 and drove it up the highway from CO Springs. I know someone between Sterling and Soldotna with a Northern Lite for sale. A 2002, for last I heard $10500. Don't know much more about it though. You just missed a 1999 Bigfoot that sold for $4850 on the peninsula. Make sure you have your craigslist e-mail search notifications turned on.Re: Atwood Heater TroubleshootingWanted to post that my new basic electronic thermostat works great and took care of my issues. I am not sure my original thermostat was OK, I think I just didn’t use enough pressure on the off switch. Appreciate the help.Re: Atwood Heater Troubleshooting chuckklr04 wrote: 30k btu? wow, overkill for a TC. In Louisiana it would be overkill, but this one will be used for Winter camping in Alaska! I’ve tent camped with outside thermometer pictures taken at -50F.Re: Bigfoot Shower HelpThanks Jim! I will get right on it! Lowes, HD, and Walmart all sell them. Done! It arrived today, a super basic Honeywell digital! Can’t wait to get it installed! Thanks for the advice.Re: Bigfoot Shower HelpShower Curtain Length I canceled the order today for the vinyl shower curtain and bought the polyester curtain as recommended! Thanks Sure would appreciate any info on what to hem the height of this curtain to. As stated oringunally I’m not with the camper right now and will make a 3500 mile journey with it as soon as I’m back with it. I’ll take suggestions from anyone, but if an owner of a Bigfoot with a wet bath could measure theirs for me that would be a real bonus. Thanks
