We rely on volunteers to staff our Center and assist in outreach activities year-round. Now hiring volunteers for summer 2019 through fall 2020. Duties Meeting/greeting the public; answering questions; performing majority of cleaning (does include Center restrooms) and minor maintenance; leading tours and helping with field trips; caring for live education animals; assisting in day-to-day operation of Center gift shop; stocking/tracking/ordering brochures; helping to plan special events, workshops and other outreach programs. Compensation Workamper volunteers receive a FHU campsite including onsite laundry and WiFi, in exchange for 20-27 hours/person/week (summer) and 18-24 hours/person/week (winter). Propane provided during winter. Location Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery sets in the Cumberland River valley, just below Wolf Creek Dam on Lake Cumberland.
