Here are 10 ideas to help you save money when RVing this summer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m5V05BqHz1cHere is a 5th Wheel trailer to envy....Yes, technically it is a 5th wheel trailer. Least wise it is pulled on a 5th wheel..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0t1xSHwuLyERe: First trip out Mr.Mark wrote: BamaFlum, if you decide to go to Amarillo, you could stay at the Amarillo Ranch RV Park owned by the Big Texan Steakhouse. They offer free limo service from the RV park to the restaurant and back which is just down the street. The restaurant is known for the 'Free 72 oz. steak' if you can eat all of it and the fixn's within an hour. The food is very good and if your lucky, you'll get a chance to see someone take the 'Big Texan' up on their offer. I've seen it a couple of times. They also have arcade games for the kids if that is of any interest. Safe travels, MM. I second this one. And if you just want a "regular" steak, theirs will melt in your mouth. GOOD GRUB for sure.Re: '71 Starcraft Wanderstar- "The Hilton"Okay, maybe not "useless".... but a lot less informative and enjoyable to read. Your post is GREAT. PB ruining the photos.... not so much.Re: Very sad at number of useless posts rockhillmanor wrote: It is against forum rules to promote a business and/or sell anything on this forum. AND thinking that putting your companies website in your signature would get around the rules? Well it should be deleted by mods. The link you refer to is NOT a "business". It is a BLOG, just like the many other BLOGS on this forum. I do mention products. I do conduct giveaways. I do organize trips. I do also teach classes.... some for free and some for fee. I use the minimal fees I get to fund the classes and programs for kids who cannot afford going out themselves. (and I can also tell you that I spend WAYYY more money out of my own pocket than I ever will see from the class fees) I do not apologize for what I do and trying to reach Youth. And I should not have to. Maybe if I were to be treated to all the outreach work my critics do, I can get some good ideas or pointers from their work. BTW - I was on this forum about 10 years ago and left because of the way some people acted and treated new folks and folks they decided to not like. Well, my skin is a little thicker now, and I am a bit more outspoken. Outspoken enough to suggest that maybe the nice people here would appreciate some folks doing less "jumping on" the ones who have not earned such response.Re: Very sad at number of useless postsSince some have decided I was knocking RV.NET, I will explain further. This site is a well disseminated resource for ideas and solutions to RV problems and innovations. Now that has been "hamstrung" due to so many articles that were photo dependent being made useless because the examples and illustrations are missing. A lot of the posts no longer make sense cause you cannot see what is being discussed. I did create that situation, so don't blame me for pointing it out. Yes, I have a website. NO, I do NOT "sell products". I make reccomendations and provide links. It is aimed at enrty-level Campers and Bushcrafters. I am trying to promote the outdoors and offer character building alternative to what society provides in this time. If you don't mind, please check it out before you decide to demonize it. And if you have information to share, or suggestions to improve the educational information, please submit. As to "free sites/forums"..... Invisionfree & Zetaboards are Two (off the top of my head) that allow you to create a board AND allow direct posting of pictures/videos on their servers rather than hosting on 3rd party sites. BTW - YOU are the "1st party", RV.NET is the "2nd party". Photobucket has forgotten that THEY are the only "THIRD PARTY" in this mix. I predict that they will be a failed enterprise within 6 months due to their bad decision.Re: Very sad at number of useless posts Nutinelse2do wrote: Dixie Bushcraft wrote: (even free forums allow pictures to be hosted. This is a free forum That is my point exactly. Photobucket has really "messed up" forums across the whole of the internet. It will take months (years ?) if everyone was to try and edit in the photos that are now just broken links.Re: Very sad at number of useless posts Lwiddis wrote: Were the photos you wanted to post of the classs, trips, excursions and products you sell on your website? Nope. That link is only for whoever CHOOSES to go see it.Very sad at number of useless postsI have looked at MANY of the posts on this forum and I have to say it is very sad that so many of them are now totally useless to mostly useless due to photobucket messing up. Would have been avoided if this site had allowed photos on the forum from the start, but I guess hindsight is 20/20. (even free forums allow pictures to be hosted) Anyway, wish I could see a lot of what is missing. The comments make it sound interesting.Re: '71 Starcraft Wanderstar- "The Hilton"I am sad. Thanks to photobucket, and the lack of picture posting on this site, your entire thread is rendered useless
