Then cord like this Cord Then the 173 adapter from Park-power to genset. But the male end of that adapter is only three prong. It won't go in the L14-30R on the generator, right?Re: Only thing getting power is the 220V Appliance!?Okay okay...suicide/dead man's cord = not a good idea. Now I know! I understand switching to the male receptacle on the trailer and adding the correct female connector to the cord. But which cord is it, i.e., what is on the other end? And which adapter would link it to the generator? I think I'm going to have to tow this back to the builder to fix, but I want to have a concrete plan.Re: Only thing getting power is the 220V Appliance!?Okay, would this sequence work; this is all I can think of to go from 14-50R to 14-30R: 1. Plug in to receptacle on the camper/trailer: 25 foot 14-50P to 14-50R https://www.amazon.com/Mophorn-Extension-Durable-Premium-Motorhome/dp/B07NY4L8ZW/ref=sr_1_17?dchild=1&keywords=nema+14-50+to+14-50+cord&qid=1601604956&sr=8-17 2. Then to that connect: 14-50P to 14-30R adapter: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B076ZTWL4K/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=A1AMUYYA3CT6HJ&psc=1 3. Then to that connect: 14-30P to 14-30P: https://www.ebay.com/i/254733690475?chn=ps&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-117182-37290-0&mkcid=2&itemid=254733690475&targetid=882300791467&device=c&mktype=pla&googleloc=9022877&poi=&campaignid=1669934603&mkgroupid=65058347419&rlsatarget=pla-882300791467&abcId=1123856&merchantid=114984887&gclid=CjwKCAjw_NX7BRA1EiwA2dpg0muqDvLj9Ek0lYnhg54fpSVBs64MFdlEbAE6TTcgbaC1u9B4WZ2iGhoCXHQQAvD_BwE 4. Then connect that to the generator's 14-30R. This seems...overly complicated. There's gotta be an easier way.Re: Only thing getting power is the 220V Appliance!? enblethen wrote: What is the latest receptacle used for? Is this to feed the rig or the expresso machine?Latest photo That's the only receptacle. The espresso machine is connected directly to the breaker.Re: Only thing getting power is the 220V Appliance!? enblethen wrote: After seeing photos, No the adapter will do no good. You need the correct male range plug on the shore power cord then if wired correctly to panel it would work. The receptacle in the photo needs to get wired correctly if that is the one to the expresso machine. Parallel blades are the power. This is a picture of the actual receptacle on the outside of the camper trailer: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1qJirz6rJ9OUwniTEEF0FBqXgV7kAqqyy/view?usp=sharing Is that what you need to see? Assuming it is wired correctly...what type of cord or cord/adapter combo do I need? I'm struggling to locate the right item.... Thanks so much. Really appreciate your help!Re: Only thing getting power is the 220V Appliance!?Oh my gosh thank you for this analysis! Would this type of adapter work as someone else mentioned? https://www.park-power.com/en/173arvRe: Only thing getting power is the 220V Appliance!? That is what I think you are saying. Take a pic of the 120 volt circuit breakers and post them. Take a pic of your Auto Transfer switch, if you have one and post it here. ***Link Removed*** This WAS a 1964 (?) Avalon. It was gutted and completely redone. It definitely has a four-prong female outlet ***Link Removed***. ***Link Removed*** on the inside when I get into the breaker box. I hope it's just a cord issue... I'm perplexed here. According to the pic of the generator, there's a 120/240 socket. Is that not a 50a 4-prong connector that your plug should fit into directly? All I know is the end of the cord I have has three prongs (two diagonal flat and one circle), and the only way I could connect it to the four prong locking female connector on the generator was to use this: https://www.homedepot.com/p/30-Amp-Generator-4-Prong-to-RV30-Amp-Adapter-cord-G30M4RV30F/202510179 Any chance I just need a new cord or adapter?Re: Only thing getting power is the 220V Appliance!?I do! Where should I check and what reading should I be getting?
