Certainly they needed to do a bit more homework before rather than after, but that wasn't the case. Re this particular dealer.....something doesn't smell quite right to me. There should be no reason for them not to want to work with your credit union - they're going to get their money regardless of where it comes from. The approval for a particular trailer only may be valid, but if the cost is very close a simple phone call to the lender (credit union) should suffice. When we changed from the ROO 19 HTT we were interested in to the ROO 23SS, they did get approval because there was a fairly good price increase. Sorry this has turned into another headache. This is not a headache at all. We are happy with our new travel trailer :-) Like I said in another post, the only issue is the tri fold sleeper, that's all. Have a wonderful day!Re: Tri fold sleeper sljkansas wrote: KSSubadiver call down toColaws RV Salvage in Carthage Mo. and check what a sofa sleeper airbed will cost. They have a lot of newer things that they get from storm damaged new unit. Worth a drive down there to see what they have.check out the web site, they may have what you want listed. Hello neighbor! I don't like a sofa sleeper airbed. I prefer a tri fold sofa sleeper. However, I will check their web site and see if they might have one. Thanks for your advice! :-)Re: KSScuba....so where do things stand???I did post yesterday afternoon, asking that you all don't get me wrong, and we do like our TT very much. The only issue is the tri fold sleeper. I am waiting to hear from the RV dealership in regard to the measurements, and then we will go from there. As for the table and chairs, we are leaving them the way they are. We traded our Coachmen TT for the Heritage Glen 302FK. The new one is slightly better than our Coachmen one. Thank you, dadmomh, for your concern :-) And thank you, Dog Folks, for posting my comments in reply to dadmomh's question.Re: Tri fold sleeperThank you all for your advice, thoughts, suggestions, opinions, etc. I do appreciate them all. Please don't get me wrong. I do really like our new TT. It is just that the tri fold sleeper is ugly. They did offer to exchange that with another one that has an air mattress. I don't like that one, either. I have decided to keep that sleeper and look for a different one to replace this one in the very near future. As I said in my post in regard to the booth dinette, I am going to keep the table and chairs and see how we feel later on. We can always change if we prefer the booth dinette. No problem :-) When we filled out the application form for financing, I thought it was for any travel trailer we might be interested in. We were surprised that we had been approved for the Heritage Glen 302FK travel trailer only, not any other trailers. We were told if we want another travel trailer (we had looked at Heritage Glen 282RK), we would have to re-apply, but there is a risk we, or one of us, might not be approved or our credit rating might go down. That was news to us! We had checked out many travel trailers and checked out a couple of RV shows last year before buying the 2014 Coachmen Freedom Express Liberty Edition 305RKDS. I realized I like front or rear kitchens so this time I narrowed down my search to just the trailers with front/rear kitchens. I was not rushing at all. I just knew what I was looking for :-)Re: Booth dinette NanciL wrote: We have the dinette with a booth on either side of the table. Both of them have storage under them. One is a storage compartment that is accesed by an outside door and is perfect for my weight distribution bars, sway bar and water hoses and the other is a large drawer that pulls out from the inside and my wife keeps all the pots and pans in it. I am curious with you who have a table and chairs: what keeps the chairs from moving around when you are traveling and if they are attached to the floor wouldn't that be a pain if you wanted to move them around. To the OP, I would suggest that you stay with the as is situation and if there is not storage under the benches, make some yourself Jack L The table is screwed to the floor. The chairs have belts attached to the floor. We have decided to leave the table and chairs for now and see how it goes. Maybe we will end up liking them after all. Who knows.Re: Tri fold sleeper MitchF150 wrote: Why didn't you discover that before you made the deal? Good luck! Mitch We did ask before we bought the trailer, and they said no.Re: Booth dinette MitchF150 wrote: ?? You bought a unit off the lot with table and chairs and you want a booth and you want the dealer to pay for it?? Ummm.... No.... If I was the dealer.. ;) Unless the dealer agreed for that before the deal was made, I'd say the dealer has no obligation to do that for you.. And $500 sounds about right to me.. :) Good luck! Mitch We had not bought the trailer at that time and asked that the table/chairs be changed to a booth dinette. We were told it would cost $500 plus labor. Isn't a booth dinette like a downgrade, no?Booth dinetteYesterday when we bought our 2015 Heritage Glen 302FK travel trailer, we asked that the table and chairs be changed to a booth dinette. We were told it would cost us $500 plus labor. I was surprised we would have to pay for that. Shouldn't the RV dealership absorb the cost? I am torn in half as to whether to leave the table and chairs alone or exchange it for a booth dinette which will provide us more storage and extra sleeping accommodations. Thoughts?Tri fold sleeperWe bought a 2015 Heritage Glen 302FK travel trailer yesterday, but we are greatly disappointed with the tri fold sleeper. It's black with fake leather (is that what you call it?) so slippery I can practically slide off. The dealership has several Heritage Glen travel trailers, and unfortunately, all of the sofas have air mattresses. My trailer is the only one with the tri fold sleeper. We are now stuck with this ugly sleeper. I googled the Internet and was shocked to find the prices ranging from $1,065 to $1,400. What should we do? :-(Re: UPDATE [our travel trailer was stolen] BurbMan wrote: Hopefully you get enough $$ from insurance to trade that TT in on a new one...sounds like that's what you're wanting to do. I think you guys are the first ever to have a stolen TT recovered....usually they're out in the woods cooking meth before you can file the police report. I still find it amazing that we got our TT back. Obviously, the thief is stupid lol :-) The TT is still in excellent condition. Just a filthy mess. It's being serviced and cleaned up, and also getting a thorough check up. The insurance agency will cover that, and we pay our deductible. That's all. We will trade it in hopefully with no expenses involved.
