Capacitors are my number one nuisance problem on home AC units when temps get hot outside.Re: My camper is in the river now NJ6PACK wrote: Sorry about your loss.... Getting a little off topic I have a hypatheticle question....If the insurance company totals it can I come along and buy the TTas is with a salvage title? If someone who is handy and did do this it seems like they could get a TT for pennys on the dollar then fix it up (like flooded home owners do all the time) then they would have a "new" TT .....I know flood damage is always bad but in this case it only seems like the bottom foot only got wet. I did this once to a camper that had about a foot of water in it for less than 24 hours. I slit all the plastic on on the bottom and removes the insulation, removed all the flooring, cut all the wall board off at chair rail height and ran dehumidifiers and fans in it for 2 weeks. Put up bead board and chair rail on the walls laid new floor, removed the furnace and cleaned it, put new insulation under it and then used the camper with no issues for three years. It functioned flawlessly and I had less than $3000 in a 2 year old 30+ foot Dutchmen with a slide. It did help that my dad had a smoke and water restoration business so I'll he equipment and fans were available for use. It honestly only took about 4 hours to get it stripped down and a few Saturdays to put back together. It also helped that we were waiting on the water to record and had it pulled out and stripped down within a few hours.Re: Help...6.7 CTD smoking (update: Cracked injector)Man that's crazy....... I have 150,000 miles on mine and they are still fine. I don't have any beefed up fuel filtration either it's all stock. I wonder if you got some bad fuelRe: My planI wondered where you had been....... sorry to hear about all the personal issues, divorces suck. Enjoy the tent camping and keep on making memories that's what it is all about. Hopefully before you know it you will be back on your feet.Re: Bikes over Tonneau CoverNicely done!Re: Ghost in the camperI had that issue and then realized the radio has an alarm clock feature and it accidentally got turned on which was turning the radio on.Re: Keystone Sprinter 28BH vs. Jayco Jay Flight 27BH bobndot wrote: I have the E-pack . I think its worth it. 35F was warm with infrequent furnace cycling. I would NOT travel with 90 gals of water but filling on site for a long stay in nice. If it had wings you could fight a forest fire with it. That's a large twin tank set up that are linked up together with one fill pipe and 2 low point drains to speed things up when emptying before departing a site. I only travel with 10-15 gals. double check the Jayco website for 2017 model options. But this matches what I have for 2016. Elite pack info here from owners. I double checked and it is twin 40 gallon tanks plus 6 gallons in the water heater for a total of 86 gallons. The tanks are twinned together for filling purposes however each tank has its own petcock for dumping the water. I usually only travel with them about half full and then fill at the campground however they have been a few times I completely filled them before leaving as I knew the water at the place we were camping wasn't good. With my truck I can't really tell that much of a difference between full and not full. I also love the black tank flusher that the elite package gets you. I didn't realize how nice they were until I had one but now after owning this camper I wouldn't have another one without it.Re: Cut open underbellyWhen I opened mine up for some modifications I used gorilla tape and it is still on 2 years later and holding well.Re: Keystone Sprinter 28BH vs. Jayco Jay Flight 27BHI love my Jayco 28BHS. I also really like the elite package as we tend to camp for extended periods of time in state parks with nothing but electric hookups. The elite package gives you close to 90 gallons of fresh water storage which is awesome to have. There were also a few other options that I liked with the elite package.Re: Cherokee 2011 26bh TT ProblemI wonder if they were hanging brackets for the sewer lines on the camper? Pics would help this a lot.
