To get a TH with a seperate garage, I think you're going to need more truck than you have.Re: Upgrade to a Voltage?I've been fulltiming in my Voltage 3600 for the past two years, and have had no major issues. I do have it going into the shop, but I'm fulltiming it, so it gets used a bit. There are a few things that I've scratched my head about, but overall, I love it, and would do it again in a heartbeat.Re: The continuing Saga waiting for my new Ram 3500As NC Hauler stated, I also have been notified that my 2013 Ram 3500 DRW has been built and shipped. My delivery date is the 25th of April. So hopefully no later than next Friday, I will be taking my truck out to get some miles put on it before I tow my Voltage. I will post comparisons if anyone is interested.Re: The continuing Saga waiting for my new Ram 3500FYI, I found a 2013 3500 IN TRANSIT when i was cruising the ramtrucks website earlier today. http://www.chrysler.com/hostd/windowsticker/getWindowStickerPdf.do?vin=3C63R3DL4DG564347 Again, it is in transit, so it may not be legit, but it's a start!Re: CB radio usageI miss CBs... Sounds like several people agree, RV'rs use channel 13. Now make it so! When I get the new truck, I'll mount the CB, and "have my ears on" for you all.Re: The continuing Saga waiting for my new Ram 3500I'm in roughly the same boat. I ordered mine a couple of weeks ago, and mine has not changed status from "production scheduled".Re: Dual Rear or Single Rear Wheels on Tow Truck?LOTS of things to consider- payloads and weight ratings, etc. If you truely dont want to outgrow the truck, look at the largest FW you would want now, and then buy a TV to match that. It may be overkill until you get that FW, but you will not have to worry about being too small when you buy the FW. I ordered my Voltage, and then realized the truck I had wasn't going to cut it, because I didnt do enough homework, and fell into the "a 1 ton can tow anything" trap. When I finally sat down and worked the numbers, the (older-2000 MY) 1 ton wasnt rated high enough to tow my Voltage empty, and had to scramble to find a more suitable TV. That was how I ended up with my F450. If the TV will also be a daily driver, that will factor in a lot as well. You need to WANT to drive your TV as a daily driver, and if you're not comfortable, it sort of defeats the purpose!Re: Who has NEVER had water in diesel fuel??6 diesels and around 500K miles (maybe more) I had the WIF light come on ONCE prior to buying my 08 6.4. I've ranted enough about the 6.4 that I wont repeat it here.Re: Campfire Pizza! That sounds delicious, I'm going to have to try that!Re: Are the 2013 voltage any better than the 2011/2012's ?OP, I've got a 2012 Voltage 3600 Epic that I picked up in March. I've been full timing in it since April, and have had very few problems. I'm taking it in this weekend for some minor work, but only because I was going to be out of town anyway. I have had ZERO leak issues from rain (but I do live in Southern CA, so it's not like there's a lot anyway), and I also have the slide toppers. To date the only warranty work I've had done was that the wires powering the main slide came undone, and i had to have a mobile tech come out and put it back together. The dealer(Richardsons RV Menifee, CA)/Dutchmen came through with flying colors on that one. Will let you know if I have any issues when I get back from my trip, but so far I have nothing to complain about. Most of the issues were things that you wouldn't find without living in the RV. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend a Voltage to anyone, and it would be first in line if I ever replace this one. Dutchmen also did some custom work on mine to make it amputee friendly. It's not handicap accessible, but I've got multiple grab rails installed throughout the rig to help me at stairs and particularly in the shower. So, I will admit to being biased by a company that made a product do what I wanted/needed.
