So I turned it to the off setting. In the morning we turned it back to on and it started again. No problem. We left for a few hours, came back, and turned the set temperature down a bit, and as I pushed the slider down it shut off. We have tried replacing the fuse in the thermostat, checked the breaker box, checked the unit on the roof and the blade spins freely, and actually replaced the thermostat too. Still nothing. No heat, no fan, no a/c. And were in Arizona heading to the grand canyon today!! There are no repair shops open til Monday! Any ideas?Online shopping while on the roadHow would I order something online when on the road? Can I have something shipped to a post office without a po box, if I am going to be somewhere for a few days? I can't find anything conclusive online, if anyone has experience, please share!Re: Can't figure out this water heater... DOTLDaddy wrote: John Wayne wrote: It may be an after market heating unit. If I look at the picture I see an electrical connection on the drain plug that is not connected... LOL! :B I never thought I spend my day talking about somebody's old water heater!:B When I look at that same picture, where you see a disconnected wire, I see a drain pet****. Actually, I've never seen one on an RV water heater like that before, but I guess why not! :C I hope the OP clears up the serial # question, BTW. :@ ON EDIT: Seriously, RV.NET?:@ I can't use an old plumbing term?:S:B How about "petkock"?:B The serial number is right on the unit.. Here is a pic. I too saw that it says its an LP only model, but the fact that we have that switch and we were told by the dealership it was electric/LP is part of why I'm confused! Here's the pic: Re: Can't figure out this water heater... Can't figure out this water heater... We have an Atwood water heater, model G6A-8E. I can get it to run perfectly well off LP, but when we are hooked up to power I'd like to use that instead. I believe this model can run off of either but so far we have been unable to get it going with electric. To start it on LP all I do is turn the LP to "on" on the indicator panel, no switches to switch, it just does its own thing and fires up. There are two toggle switches that we suspect have something to do with engaging the electric, but flipping them has no effect on the water tank. One is on the unit under the sink, and one is on the side of the cabinet. The dealer said the latter was to use electric but alas, it does nothing. We have considered that we may need to replace the coil, but there does not appear to be even an attempt on the machine's part to start electrically. Pics of switches below:Re: warning lights after towing car. Help!! (pic) Jack_Diane_Freedom wrote: I did the same thing with my truck and when I started driving it the lights corrected and went out. Could also just disconnect battery and it will reset. Yep! We drove it around for about 2 minutes before the lights went out. The engine must have needed to reset its sensors. Pfew!! Thanks everyone!Re: warning lights after towing car. Help!! (pic)It is a 2013 KIA sportage. The brake was on while I was unloading the car from the ramps, maybe rolled 12 inches back or so before I realized it and disengaged the brake. It was the second time I towed it. And yes the lights stay on while driving. I only backed it off the dolly and then pulled it into my driveway so fat, I'm afraid to drive it. But they did not turn off when I had it on and in drive while parking it.warning lights after towing car. Help!! (pic)This topic has been moved to another forum. You can read it here: 28488897warning lights after towing car. Help!! (pic) The above picture is the warning lights that are on in my car after towing it. I towed it on a 5 hour trip, 2 wheels down on a tow dolly. It is front wheel drive, had the key on accessory position the whole time, parking brake was off. It was driven once we got to our destination, with no error lights. These only appeared after coming back. The only thing I did wrong was I forgot to disengage the parking brake for the first half of the way down the ramps when I unloaded. But these lights were already on before I backed it down anyway. I had only turned it on to disconnect the safety chains underneath, it was not on during towing. I can't think of what I did wrong! And I'm not quite sure what this means for my car!Re: How to leave your dog alone in the RV?? MetalGator wrote: We use a product called Temperature alert. It is a small device that hooks via a USB port to a computer. I have a small inexpensive laptop that I hook the device to. We use one of our cell phones (usually my wife's) for an internet hot spot (or if there is wireless at the park, we will use it). Burch Do you ever have issues with no wifi/cell service? We would love to do something like this but in the limited rv camping we have done so far in fairly populated areas we have had issues with wifi/cell service. I wonder how reliable this would be in the middle of a national park!
