Re: Towing a horse trailer with TC This is a 5 year old thread. Re: wifi, cell phone coverage If you go somewhere without any cell service a hotspot won't do you any good. At that point, you may need to think about StarLink, then the view of the sky could become an issue. Re: Looking to jump back in RVing Generally, look for the floorplan that works for you. All brands have issues. Re: traveling from Indiana to Clemson in our 38 ft RV next week. Best route :Atlanta & I 84 ? Good route. I-75 -> I-275 -> I-85 Don't go further on I-75 to get to I-85. Atlanta traffic will be crazy. You will deal with one mountain on I-75. Re: TV cabinet with TV lift mount Not sure what you comment/question here has to do with the original discussion. When we got our TT my thought was the electric fireplace was a gimic. No, it doesn't look like a real fire. However, it is the primary source of heat for our TT and works very well. We like it cool when we sleep and in reality I would like the fireplace to go a little cooler than it does, lowest setting is 65. The only time we use gas is the initial warm up in the morning. Re: Winterizing tips and tricks Where are you located? Winterizing in the North can be far different than in the South. Re: Hey y'all, I'm new to Good Sam. Sway bar is important. When I check into a campground and while my vehicle and trailer are straight I disconnect my two bars and the friction bar before going to my site, takes less than a minute. Re: Passing gas? I have a travel trailer and always travel with the gas on. Re: electricity at the campsite I would say most campground catering to short time visits do not charge extra for electricity. Places for long term stays are probably a separate story. A lot of campgrounds do not allow generators due to noise. Those that do may have specific hours that you can run them. You have to determine what you want to power with a generator. If you want to run the AC, then it needs to be big enough for that. If you just want to get your battery charged and run some lights and stuff, small one would do. A LOT of things in a camper run off 12V, your battery. So keeping battery chagred is your 1st prioity.
