Then we got an Arctic Fox. It was SO quiet inside. We now have a Lance and I REALLY miss our Arctic Fox. It was MUCH quieter inside.Re: Might have needed a WDH ?We have a Lance 1475. Based on the position of roof items that’s a 1575.Re: Moab or Durango/RMNP?We just did portions of your trip this fall. I notice you took Custer State Park out in your last itenerary. We're hikers and bikers, and Custer was one of our favorite parts of the trip. Its beautiful and so much less crowded than the national parks. Harney Peak trail is awesome. We camped at Stockade North - it was great. Badlands can be done in a day. We spent one night there and did all the short hikes, as well as the ladders trail. Staying in 2 different areas of Yellowstone is a good plan. Up by Gardner is a good location for touring the north. Fishing Bridge is a good location for seeing Old Faithful area, and the falls area. Fishing Bridge Campground is awful, but hopefully you are just using it to sleep. We stayed a week and thought it was too long. We both got tired of the crowds, and had seen enough thermal features after about 5 days. We thought Colter Bay was great, but we lucked out with a really really nice site. The Tetons are beautiful. This was probably my favorite part of the trip. I agree Estes Park is a tourist town. Didn't float my boat. The Rockies are amazing, but very crowded. As most places we went, once you hiked a mile in, the crowds thinned out considerably. The hard part of advice is everyone likes something different! Enjoy making those great family memories!Re: Help Me Pick A New Camper! We just love our Lance 1475. Our answer to the single propane tank is to keep a spare in a crate in the truck. Our trailer came with a really good battery so we're hoping one will do the trick.Re: Healthiest 5th Wheel?I have chemical sensitivities and can't even walk into some RVs without getting burning eyes and a migraine. We bought a Northwood Arctic Fox. It had a little bit of a new smell when we got it, but not a strong eye burning formaldehyde smell.Re: State College, PA campgrounds/rv parks for EasterButtonwood Campground opens the first weekend of April. It should be about 45 minutes from State College, in Mifflintown. It's a VERY nice campground.Re: Clueless where to startI second the above suggestion! Check out www.rvsueandcrew.netRe: Hanging Clothes SpaceIn our previous trailer we put an 8' closet rod all the way across the foot of the bed from one side of the trailer to the other. The clothes hung over our feet while we slept, but were still enough not to interfere.Re: 8 hrs from MD, fun for kids, 50 amp, prefer state parks?Coincidentally I was looking through old family photos yesterday and came across the ones from our vacation to Pigeon Forge and the Smoky Mountains. It was a fantastic place for kids! One of our best trips ever. I remarked to DH how everyone loved that trip. There's DollyWood, tons of nature, shows, and touristy attractions. I highly recommend it.Re: New to Full Timing - Picking a TrailerYou say you have allergy problems with hotels. Be careful with RVs. There are very few manufacturers that I can tolerate the smell because of my allergies. We have a Northwood Arcitic Fox. It was one of the few on my short list of tolerable smelling units. Also you'll want a 4 season trailer so you aren't mopping the windows in cold weather.
