I don't have the "T" connection yet, so I syphoned out as much water from the fresh water tank as I could. Put new antifreeze in. Pumped it thru the water system. I than took a sample from the outside shower in a clear jar. It was the same color as when it went in. I think I'm good. Thanks for all the help. Regards Kyte NW PARe: Pink antifreeze turned purplewell, I placed some purple antifreeze in the freezer. I checked it today. Sad to say, it was rock solid. I'm going to drain this stuff out and start over... Thanks for the freezer tip. I would have never thought of that. Regards Kyte in NW PARe: Pink antifreeze turned purpleI did remove the carbon water filter before I started. I'm trying the freezer route as subjected before. If the water freezes in the freezer I'll drain the lines and start over. I read that this winter will be singular to last years. Hope not.. I may have to do some more thinking on this. Thanks for the comments Regards Kyte in NW PASnowbirding in NC?I am a newbie and was thinking about snowbirding in southeast NC. We were there 2 years ago in Feb and the temperature would get in the upper 20's at night and then rise to the 40's, 50's and sometimes into the 60's during the day. Would I have to worry about my water freezing and causing problems in this situation. I would hate to go down there and not be able to use my water system. Any comments Regards Kyte in NW PARe: Pink antifreeze turned purpleI put in 3 gallons of new pink antifreeze and 1/2 gallon of year old pink antifreeze. The RV dealer told me that pink antifreeze never goes bad, so I used the 1/2 gallon. It was just as pink as the new stuff. I'm thinking that I didn't get all the water out of the lines. Will try the freezer approach and let you know how it works. Regards KiteRe: Pink antifreeze turned purpleDidn't blow out the water lines. Didn't last year either. I'm not sure exactly how to do it. Like I said, I'm a newbie. I will put some in the freezer and see what happens. Thanks KytePink antifreeze turned purpleNewbie here, I put good old Walmart antifreeze (Super Tech) in the camper. It went in pink, but turned a light purplish color at the faucets. Checked the clear water lines and all looked light purple. Its the same stuff I used last year with no problem. It went in pink and came out pink. I checked the ingredients and they are the same as last years right down to the ingredients numbers. Any ideas why? Regards Kyte in NW PAAttaching dump hose to dump hole?Newbie here.. I have yet to have my first experience dumping. My main concern is after putting the step connector into the dump hole, do I need to put something on it so it doesn't come out of the hole or will it stay in by its self. I would think that once you pull the handle there's a lot of water pressure coming down that tube. Any foresight would be helpful.. Thanks Kyte in NW PA
