We used the by-pass Highway 375 to pass north of El Paso. Catch the 375 off I10 east of El Paso and connect with I10 on the west side of El Paso. Very good highway and beats all the traffic on I10 thru El Paso.Re: 55+ RV ParksWe spend the winter months in a 55+ rv park in the greater Phoenix AZ area. Possibly 50% of the park residents may lead a more sedentary lifestyle many others are very active with many outdoor activities. We have groups of men and women that hike leisure hikes in the Arizona desert mountains and hiking groups with deeper miles long mountain hikes. There are biking groups for desert bikes, competition style road bikes and leisure biking. Some folks have kayaking excursions and canoe trips around ghe mountain lakes. Golf groups, tennis, racketball, pickle ball, just about any kind of activity that interest you can be found in a 55+ rv park. And, this is including wood working shops, lapidary shops, jewel making, silver smithing, quilting, model airplane, model racecars, just name it and you can find it. Not all parks have everything but a few exploratory trips will help in deciding where to stay for a week or month or season. Go for it, it's a great senior lifestyle. It is what we always "wanted to do when we grew up".Re: Fuse Blows on Bedroom Light CircuitHad a similar issue with an 05 Cardinal. I traced wires, tightened connections, secured connections in tbe 12 volt panel. This went on for a few years with me buying 15 amp 12v fuses in bulk. Then one evening I went out to get something out of the street side bay and my wife said the lights just flickered when I opened the bay door. I closed it and opened if again and the bedroom lights flickered. I was watching the cargo door as I lifted it and the door touched the underside of the bedroom slide and sparked at the point the two metal trims touched. It blew the fuse that time. I could nevet find the ground point that caused the short but I put a strip of black elec tape at tbe point of the spark and never blew another fuse up to the day I sold the fifth wheel. And yes, I told the new owners about it and left the dozen or more 15 amp fuses with them..Re: Bubbled Fiberglas ScottG wrote: Around that time there were a lot of RV's having problems with the adhesive bonding the wall. So it may not be a water intrusion problem at all. My previous 2005 fifth wheel delaminated most of the rear wall about 8 years after I purchased it new. I was very meticulous about maintenance and roof/seams recaulking. My insurance refused coverage for repair so I paid for a local repair and when the rear filon was removed it was not bonded to luan but glued to cardboard sheeting and the repair shop said it was glue failure most likely caused by residual humidity build up over the years. Upon contacting the manufacturer for my brand and asking about the cardboard instead of luan I was informed it is not cardboard it is "compressed fiberboard"......how about that!Re: Power Cord BB_TX wrote: david_iona wrote: https://www.etrailer.com/RV-Wiring/Mighty-Cord/A10-3050DAVP.html This should work That will not work if the cord he has is a standard RV power cord with a 30 amp twist lock connector at the RV end. OP had not stated exactly what the free cord he obtained is. If the free cord has the twist lock cut it off and splice a standard 30 amp pigtail ( about $6) to the cord. However, the adapter and the pigtail will cost the same as the 30 amp cord with standard connections.... around $30.Re: Power Cordhttps://www.etrailer.com/RV-Wiring/Mighty-Cord/A10-3050DAVP.html This should workRe: Camping near la grande oregonLast fall we stayed at Grande Hot Springs Rv park.
