Had a total brake failure on my pick-up less that 1,500 after spending $3000 on a total brake overhaul at Tires Plus a subsidiary of Firestone. Totaled the Dodge Ram 2500 and the Montana Big Sky. Both insurance and Firestone deny responsibility. After a year of frustration, not to mentioned huge bills I just quite making payments to creditors. Sure my excellent credit rating took a huge dive but what the blazes, I tried to negotiate but no luck. So just stopped paying. I'm 75 years old and won't be around that much longer. Family won't get hurt as I now do not own anything of values. Nope not even a house. So, I am flat broke without a pot to piss in an nothing to lose.Re: What happened to my magazine?I never got any of mine either.Re: Tires- 3500 dodge truckFirestone TransForce here. Also have them on my 5th wheel. Very pleased with them. 72,000 on my first set on the truck.Re: January in central FloridaWe stayed at Paradise Oaks RV Resort in Bushnell, FL last winter. We were there for 4 months and enjoyed the park. Friendly staff, friendly neighbors and a whole lot of activities. This is a newer well maintained park with grassy sites and concrete patios, excellent WIFI that was completely upgraded last year. Bushnell is about halfway between Orlando and Ocala and the weather tends to be moderate, temps in the high 60's and 70's during the day. We are returning again this winter. Bushnell is near I-75 with easy access to I-75 and I-4. Here is their web address: http://www.theparadiseoaks.com/Re: Odd commentsOnce, while waiting on an oil change at Firestone, asked them to check the spark plugs on my Dodge Cummins. The kid comes back 10 minutes later looking completely confused and said, "I can't find em, where are they"? His boss finally explained diesel power to him.Re: LOSS OF COMMON SENSEExtended warranty was $1,600.Re: LOSS OF COMMON SENSESorry downtheroad "This is not singularly a Good Sam problem...this is an Extended Warranty problem, all of them. Line up folks with extended warranties. 9 out of every 10 will be unhappy with them and would not buy one again." Count me as the 1 of every 10 very happy with the extended warranty. Recently I had two grey water tanks, one black water tank, microwave convection oven, inverter, patio awning motor and rear view camera system replaced under my Cornerstone extended warranty. All made without question or quibbling with Cornerstone. And I only had to pay 1 one hundred dollar deductible for $6,000 worth of work. All this was on a 2009 Montana Big Sky that I purchased less than a year ago. Repairs were done at Alliance RV, Wildwood, FL. Normally, I don’t believe in extended warranties but this proved to be a great investment.Re: Much lower than AmazonI finally got my Good Sam renewal and the $25 CW certificate is only valid for a little over a week. The nearest CW is 115 miles south so it isn't worth my time and the 230 mile round trip drive to cash it in.Re: tonnaeuI have the Jack Rabbit on my '98 Dodge 2500 long bed. The tonnaeu cover is actually for the short bed but fits exactly with my over the bed tool mounted behind the cab. I like this combination as I can carry my tools in the tool box and keep the bed open for extra items. Cover is closed when not towing and open to just in front of the hitch when towing. For me it is a great combination. Fairly inexpensive as I bought both the tool box and tonneau cover on Craigslist.Re: Best Price for LED lites?I've ordered numerous LEDs for myself and friends from e-bay seller, hugesaving2014. This seller ships from the state of Washington and usually arrive within 3-4 days. Much quicker than those shipped from China, and shipping is often free. For example, I placed an order on July 15th and they arrived July 19th. His prices are reasonable. I bought 10X Festoon T10 BA9S White LED 48SMD Panel Interior Dome Map Light Bulb Lamp 12V for $16,89 or $1.90 each. Not sure if these are made in China or not but mine all work well.
