There are companies out there that make radiators for race cars that are "custom" and may be very reasonable. You also might be able to look at someplace like "Jegs" and see what they might have listed and available and sizes. Might take some creativity to get hose connections in the right place or right size, but its very possible. Good Luck!Re: Nothing For NothingRut Roh!! Don't tell Cummins that the 10% program ended! Picked up my motorhome this afternoon after some major Onan generator issues and when presented with the bill I asked about the Power Club and the 10% discount, manager was like "oops" let me subtract that parts discount. Saved me over $300 today!Re: 2010 650 Cummins mileageThat coach is also on the front end of the 2009/2010 emissions systems that Cummins started using. You may want to see what sort of maintenance, if any, was done to the DOC/DPF system. We have a 400/450 Cummins, but my guess is that Cummins used the same DOC/DPF system on all of their OTR engines?? You may also want to have it plugged into the Cummins computers and see what codes may be sitting in the computer and make sure that the injectors are holding up. Bad injectors lead to major dollar problems with the DOC/DPF. Otherwise, as I was told when I wanted to purchase one of these, if you are worried about the cost of fuel to get from point A to point B, these are not the motorhomes for you!!Re: Winter Storage - Cover at Home or Store at Indoor Facillity? You could also look into buying one or two enclosed car trailers to store the classic cars in for this winter. Then when you are done with the trailers, you can sell them.Re: DPF Filter CleanI have had my done twice. Cost has been about $800 if I remember correctly. It is a DOC/DPF filters in that can. Check around, various companies have the cleaners that are required. Call around and check. Some of the large trucking companies with their own in house repair technicians have been buying and installing the cleaner machines. If you find someone who works where there is one, you might be able to get it done at a "discount". The HEST light, when does it come on?? Is it on all the time or flash on and off ocasionally?? Mine would go on when braking hard and quickly and coming to a stop and putting the parking brake on. Found out that it is a warning light that the DOC/DPF are at a high tempature and they don't want you stopping to quickly around material that may catch fire at the exhaust pipe end. If you take your DOC/DPF apart yourself, be very careful. Once we did ours the second time after it plugged after a few thousand miles, you may be needing injectors for that Cummins. And that gets expensive real quick as we were forced to replace all of them.Re: 2005 Fleetwood Revolution Running Lights not working.Years ago I had a 2005 American Coach Tradition, basically the same or similar coach. We had problems with the running lights and right side turn signals not working. Fuses and batteries and relays all good. There is a big, maybe 2" round, plastic type grommit that goes through the fire wall under the entry steps to the outside front behind the fiberglass front cap. It is there to make it clean and easy for the wires to pass through the fire wall. What happened in our case is on the outside where the wires pass through the plastic, it gets constantly wet from washing and driving in the rain. Along with the poor roads here in the northeast, the wires corroded and broke. So, sometimes they made contact and worked and other times they didnt work. We chased that problem for weeks. If I remember correctly, we cut the brown wire marked running lights and the yellow wire marked turn signal, drilled through the plastic grommit and then ran a new through, soldered and heat shrinked it and never had that problem again. Good luck, I hate electrical problems.!Re: MASSACHUSETTS to Myrtle Beach SCThere are alternatives, depending on time of day and what the weather is doing. 95 South to the TappanZee Bridge to 287 South to 78 West to 81 South. This avoids all the expensive tolls except for the Tappan Zee Bridge. Once on 81 you have two choices. (a) Take 66 East to 17 South back to 95 south of Washington DC. We have never had a problem going through Richmond on 95 or take the bypass around it. (b) Stay on 81 South to 77 South to 26 East back to 95 in South Carolina. Once on 78 you add about 70 miles taking option (a). If you use option (b) I think it adds about 100 miles. You can either pay all the tolls and sit in stop and go traffic from NYC to Neward to Philly to Baltimore to DC or keep moving all the way with much less traffic and cheaper fuel choices. Hope that helps with some options.Re: FMCA Vote. A Poll and your thoughts.Part of A and D. I joined FMCA a few years ago to participate in the Michelin tire program. Friend owns a tire store and said he was selling the RV tires at a super price. If FMCA's program could beat his price he would pay my membership fees. He has and continues to beat the FMCA Michelin program price and he has paid my membership fees for years. I voted to keep FMCA as a motorhome dedicated program. Here is my concern. I am also a GoodSam member. Where our concerns are is that GoodSam has basically been taken over by the Camping World regime. I am not a fan of Camping World and their ownership group. Mr. Lemonis is on the record as not liking the motorhome side of his business. Not enough or fast enough turn over of product or profit. Ultimately, I think within five years from now with FMCA opening up their membership to all RV owners, that it is just a matter of time before the pressure from Camping World becomes too much and they purchase FMCA also. The services we RV's look for all pretty basically the same. And with the way Camping World is cornering the market, they will force the price issues with FMCA and ultimately buy FMCA out. Hope I'm wrong, but I'm going to give it five years from now and see. Not sure about renewing my FMCA membership right now, but when it comes time we shall see.Re: DealerDylan RV?? Not so sure about that one either. Friends bought a new one from them. They seem ok on sales. Problem seems to be that their sales department has been expanding and exploding. The real issue is that their service department has fallen way, way, way behind in being able to service all those units that sales is selling. Catch 22 there. It is really a shame what Camping World has done to Tom Johnson Camping Centers. We have bought three American Coach units there in less than 10 years. Service has gone from top notch two years ago to they don't even want to schedule a service appointment or even return phone calls for service requests. Seems some of the best sales have still been in Florida at LazyDays. It is just so far from home. . . . . . . . .Re: What Would You Do 3oaks wrote: And ok, I'll say it. That driver on the interstate should have never slowed down. Should have just maintained their speed. It the responsibility of the traffic entering from on ramp to adjust their speed to safely merge with the flow of traffic on the interstate. Incorrect. This exactly the problem. There are two pedals in your vehicle. Learn to use them and use some better judgement. If you do, driving would be much easier for all. Exit and entry ramps are all different. Short and long with long merge and short forced quick merge areas. If you would be paying attention, slowing down and/or speeding up to help facilitate a merge spot for the vehicle trying to enter will make things much safer for all involved. If there is no place for that vehicle to enter the roadway and is forced to stop, you have just taken away their ability to gain speed and enter safely at some point. Then, when they give up and decide to gas it and force a way onto the road, more danger is created as they have no speed at all and someone is going to have to give, or wreck. If people would just get back to being a little more thoughtful about their driving, it would be a much more pleasurable and safer experience.
