Thanks for all the comments that you do.Re: TV what would you choose?Yeah, I think I have someone to buy the truck but it's only going to be $15k so that's $30k to spend for a 2500 Chevy with Leather seats. I do want to get a 6 speed and an Allison Transmission. I would like to stick with a gasser (so I don't confuse DW). Maybe 2008-2011 would the 6.0 or the 6.6 be better choice?Re: TV what would you choose? fla-gypsy wrote: Your DW needs to loosen the purse strings to make that happen to get anything worth being seen in. I agree. That's why I get $15k and tradein for the truck and she got the new Prius.TV what would you choose?I have been told by DW to upgrade our current tow truck. She has give me $15,000 and trade in of the old TV. I love my chevy gasser but need some leather seats and heated seats for DW. I am looking for something (Chevy, GMC, Ford, Dodge) 2010 or newer with less than 60,000 miles 3/4 ton or 1 ton with goose neck hitch in back for my companion hitch. What would you buy? Need to know about Chevy 6.6L and prefer gas.Re: Chevy 2500HD 2wd GasserI think that the numbers are ok. I think if you drive with caution and take your time you will be fine. You never can figure up the correct weight for truck and trailer because there are always those trips that you pack more or less. You are in the ball park and ready to go.Re: Newbie battry help on older rigYes, check the fuse on the battery, just off the terminal. I found that my battery was low and kept blowing the fuse when I plugged it in. Put a charger on the battery for a few hours and then try it again. Make sure there isn't any thing on the wires like spider webs or dirt dobbers nests.Re: B&W Hitch - Top BoltI asked them if this happens a lot and they said "this issue sometimes happens" and they didn't tell me why this happens. Only to say "make sure that your torque wrench is calibrated correctly". I thought it might have been from a hard shift in the trailer and the truck. When I was removing it I got the bolt halfway out of the post and then it stopped moving. Of course I had a torque wrench that was set at 100 lbs and it didn't stop me from breaking the bolt. I think that last time I put it on I torqued it down a little to much on the bolt, and definitely not 40 lbs of torque (over that).Re: B&W Hitch - Top BoltYes, I called them and they were happy to help and sending me a new bolt and post. No charge and no questions. Asked for Serial number off my hitch and address. Wow, you have to love that kind of customer service and I even spoke to a live person as soon as called their number. Thanks B&W.B&W Hitch - Top BoltHas anyone ever taken off their B&W hitch and found that you can take out the top bolt or broken it off while removing it? What would cause that to happen?Re: Selling Camper - Need Advice and ExperiencesI used Craigslist and got a buyer. Delivering tonight. Guy gave me a check and told me to make sure it clears and once it does to bring the trailer over and help him Winterize it with him. I have given them everything that they need to go out camping for the trailer. Thanks for your help and lots of good advice from everyone. I really do think that going to bank and switching everything over there is the best way.
