I haven't given this much thought before but, I am also wondering what gauge wire the truck manufacturer used from the brake controller connector under the instrument panel to the 7 way connector at the rear. I too have seen this. I think that they think that once they have parked at the fuel island, 'They own it' till they are done with their purchases. I park at the island to fuel and then pull out, the truck stops have plenty of parking so that one does not need to use the island as a 'parking space'. We use a combination of things. We plan our trips using MS Streets and Trips. You can find lots of RV parks with the program. We search on the internet. Use the Woodalls search. Check reviews on rvparkreviews.com and check on Google Earth to see what they look like from above and their surroundings. Also, check to see if the park has a website and see what info (photos and list of amenities and things to do in the area) they have to offer.
