Electrode/Flame sensor. If it's firing at all it's not the sail switch, the sail switch is either open or closed, there's no in between. The limit switch on an RV furnace is really a high limit switch, if it's stuck open the furnace won't ignite, otherwise it's purpose is to cut ignition if the chamber temp exceeds 190°F. The board is the furnace brain, so if it's bad nothing will function correctly. The electrode fires the furnace and the flame sensor signals the board that flame is present. The sail sw., limit sw. and electrode are the cheapest fixes and I'd replace those first, if still no success replace the board. At the worst you'll have spare parts Re: Vertical Sealant best practicesHeat gun, sparingly. Non scarring scraper blade. Clean up w/ mineral spirits, then spray with a dilute degreaser like purple power, wipe it clean, let it thoroughly dry.Re: The buyers marketDoesn't look to me like 2022 shipments are anywhere close to those of 2008/2010.Re: Towing an EMPTY tow dolly behind a Fifth Wheel east coast. It's highly unlikely there's a State Trooper on the planet who gives a rip how much an RV weighs, whether or not the TV is off while the RV's engine is running, or what the towing configuration happens to be. If empty, my guess would be the chance of being cited would be even more remote. Be aware too, that if you tow the dolly empty, it will tow much better if you lower the tire psi and if it has a steerable axle it should be locked out. My Demco SS directs the tire pressure be about 12 psi when towing empty. It will track better and won't bounce down the road behind you like a basketball.Re: RetileJust determine how many tiles you'll need and weigh one. I've installed a lot of both ceramic and pocelain tile over the years and can't imagine installing it on a non monolithic surface. It's never a great idea to install those kinds of tile over wood floors in a house. An isolation barrier imo would at the minimum be necessary and a latex additive to a water based grout for flexibility if water based is what you're using.Re: motorhome pricing wtmtnhiker wrote: Thanks to all that replied. I decided not to buy this motorhome based on price. He actually had it listed for 45,0000. Wouldn't budge off of 28,0000 He'll budge when it becomes apparent noone is going to pay 30% over avg. retail for his MH only because that's the value he places on it.Re: Motorhomes with 19.5 vs 22.5 tiresI suspect a lot of post hoc reason. The only way to conclusively determine a difference in ride and handling in a 19.5" and 22.5" tire would be in an all other things being equal side by side comparison. Otherwise the difference could be just as reasonably attributed to the upgraded shower head.Re: Almost disaster HHg in Austin wrote: supercub wrote: I'm sorry to say, that anytime I have a vehicle worked on anymore, I want to watch what's going on. For many years…if a lube shop wouldn’t let me watch, I’d leave and go elsewhere! Can’t tell you how many stupid people are employed in those types of establishments. It's not always that they're necessarily stupid, they're likely being pressured by their supervisors who are being pressured by their superiors and on up the food chain to produce, produce, produce. It's a numbers racket, the kid under their draining your oil pan is being told he has x amount of minutes to get the job done, otherwise he's out the door.Re: 38 gallon honey wagon? swimmer_spe wrote: We will be camping somewhere for a week that has water and hydro hook up. Unfortunately, they do not sewer hook ups, but they do have a dumping station. My largest tank is the black water, and it is 38 gal. Anyone know of a supplier that ships to Canada for a honey wagon that large? I really don't want to mess with half empty tanks. 38 gallons is going to be over 300 lbs. Jusy sayin'.Re: Is there any REAL quality out there? DaveRVman wrote: way2roll wrote: The OP did say he was looking at a Thor ACE. Nothing against them, I owned one myself when they first came out, but it is the lowest end offering from the lowest quality manufacturer. I knew that going in as I was on a budget and just wanted a cheap weekender. The key is realistic expectations. You can't buy a Yugo and expect Bentley quality. I agree. But I'd rather not spend 100 grand on something that was tossed together and will fall apart. I know RV'ing to have definitely an aristocratic type class (upper middle class) folk sometimes. But for me, 100 grand is a bunch of money for a toy. I'm not wasting 100 grand on a Yugo. In some RV worlds I'm too poor for the "great prestige" of a nice new Prevost. Pinky's out folks, but sorry, my pinky has callouses. In my world I'd rather let the Thor ACE sit on a lot, and do something else with my money than purchase a "Yugo" type quality coach. 100 grand is not trash... So I'm looking for some kind of alternative. Because I'm too poor for the Bentley (which isn't great reliability BTW), but still value my 100 grand of hard earned money more than to throw it away on something of rough quality. So if there are really no REAL options that's fine. A nice used Cessna sounds fun too. I won't be subsidizing companies that produce things that fall apart. It only encourages them. There are some great used DP's to be had, but if you're looking to finance, most lenders aren't going to consider anything over ~15 years old.
