The VPN's I mentioned are supposed to allow that content through, see below for more info, I wonder if anyone on here has tried this technology to see if it works. I know what you are saying I used to get that "You flown too far" when in Florida and trying "Streaming" using my regular Internet but as I said before it is sold as a working technology....all else fails I will subscribe to it from Florida, (you can get three months free) ...than we all will know, I am betting it works for one of these five or more not listed VPN's Here is the site On edit another Forum I go to also claims "It don't work" re using a Special VPN but did not specify which or all VPN's....we will see..... I use one of the major vpn's and it does not work, I would say that none of them will work for shaw freerange, but haven't tried them all. Vpn's do work for sports blackouts.Re: Canadian Satellite in the Southern US Lynnmor wrote: agesilaus wrote: All TV broadcast satellites orbit the equator. The trouble is, we're not supposed to be getting any channels south, anywhere. That is because Directv and Dish do not want any other satellite services available. So we get certain channels on two satellites and none on the other, as soon as you cross the border, as a result. That could still change and we may get even less.Re: Canadian Satellite in the Southern USShaw Direct is moving channels in September, they are moving towards making all the channels HD. I had a problem with my receiver, so when I phoned they put me on the new map for HD channels. I used to get local channels like CTV Winnipeg at 25, now all the local and time shift channels start at 100. Not sure how to figure out which channels are going to end up on which sat at the moment, apparently they are starting now and finishing up in Sept. Using Shaw Free Range will not work with a VPN. If I pick Toronto or Vancouver a error screen comes up saying "you have flown too far", although you are supposed to be able to use it anywhere in Canada. If there is another way to fool the software into thinking you are still in Canada, when you are in the USA, then it may work. Slingbox is another option, but I have not tried it. Hope this helps somewhat.Re: New AT&T $ 40 for 16 gig high speed data, then throttled SidecarFlip wrote: Sprint, 35 bucks.
