Obviously it would leave a rough texture that would not be desired.Re: Anyone planning to buy an iPhone X? jerem0621 wrote: Thank you for all the replies. I updated my iPhone 6s Plus today to iOS 11 and it’s pretty fantastic. I’m still learning all the new features. Thanks! Hows your battery life? I have a 6, and it has been atrocious. Lasts 6-8hrs and then dead.Re: 6.0 Chev to 6.4 ramI have had both trucks and have towed my same trailer with both. First had an 09 GMC 2500HD, 6.0 Vortec, CC, 4x4, 3.73 gears. It towed fine for what i needed. Then went to an 08 GMC diesel, got rid of it after 1.5 years due to operating costs and was overkill for what i needed. I now have a 14 Ram 2500HD, 6.4 Hemi, CC, 4x4, 3.73 gears. It seems to tow much better than the 6.0. the extra power is nice and i can actually comfortably use the cruise control. If i were to purchase again, i'd definitely go with the Ram, but get the 4.10's. Honestly, you cannot go wrong with either vehicle, just drive both and decide what you like best.Re: DISH Anywhere...New Service from DISH steveh27 wrote: Here's a big drawback: it does not work with 211k receivers which are needed with the Tailgators. I used to be able to watch missed episodes on my home computer. I can no longer do that because the new software will not load. I am not trying to watch anything on my dvr or live shows anywhere, just past episodes, which I think means On Demand. It only works with receivers that have a network connection and have the Sling technology implemented into them. Hopper w/Sling and Hopper 3 are what i know of off the top of my head. All the On Demand stuff requires an internet connection also.Re: When and where to fill onboard propaneI always wondered how they were filled also until last weekend. I went to have my 20lb tank filled for my grill and in front of me was a nice Class-B. He backed it in and they guy hooked the propane filling hose up. Measured until it was at 14.5 gallons filled and turned it off. unhooked and that was it. This was at my local Tractor Supply. Wasn't a bad price either. $2.49/gal.Re: Seeking options to carry dirt bike on back of 5'er Ivylog wrote: Put it on the current fold down rack as close as possible to the back of the 5er. i agree. I'd look at beefing up your current rack and use it if possible. Might be cheaper than having a new hitch installed and buying a motorcycle rack also.Re: Waited too long to get eclipse glasses. I can access it via QNAP's website, an app on my iPhone, or an app on my PC. It works great. I don't keep sensitive data on it though, just pictures, recipes, documents for reference, etc. Of course i have about $500 in it. Qnap Home user They make different models and they do TONS more than just file storage. Synology makes a great product that does the exact same stuff also. I have used them with success too. Just a thought. If you don't want to spend money, i'd recommend Google Drive also.Re: Question for Ford mechanics 2006 F-250 3v 5.4? colliehauler wrote: Gdetrailer wrote: jerem0621 wrote: colliehauler wrote: Don't really need it for towing already have a Diesel and a V-10 long bed crew cabs. This is a single cab to run around town that I might leave at the seasonal site. With all the cam phaser issues I don't know if I could trust a used 5.4. I'm wondering about a rebuilt long block? Most of the used engines I see have high miles. I don't know what would be acceptable mileage on a used 5.4? Make sure you get a 5.4 out of a superduty. No cam phasers to deal with. Thanks! Jeremiah Wrong. Just plain wrong. You HAVE to go back to OLDER 5.4 super duty engines to get away from cam phasers.. My 2003 F250 super duty 5.4 DOES NOT have cam phasers but my 2006 F250 Super Duty DOES have cam phasers. 2003 is a 2V and my 2006 is 3V 2003 has 265 HP and the 2006 has 300 HP. I will hands down take to 2006 with 300 HP ANY DAY even with the potential cam phaser issue. You also cannot just "drop in" any old super duty 5.4, to put a 2V into a vehicle that has a 3V 5.4 you WILL have to BUY AN ENTIRE DONOR VEHICLE in order to get all the correct wiring harnesses and computers not to mention dash parts.. Completely two different beasts. Not to mention you would have to have change to the older 4 speed transmission and you would LOSE the TOW/HAUL feature of the 5 speed transmission.. As far as the OPs issue, what IS wrong with your engine? If it is the cam phasers, there is aftermarket replacements that appear to last longer and have less trouble with them.. Can be done in the vehicle and some folks have figured out how to change them without tearing the front of the engine off (although from what I understand the issue starts with the chain tensioners leaking which the oil is routed through before the cam phasers), there is some really good info on Ford Truck Enthusiasts (FTE) website if you dig around.. Our 2006 now has 100,000 miles on it and only gets a slight cam phaser tick when cold and near the time to change the oil. A light tick when cold is pretty much normal and to be expected with a cam phaser engine and is just an annoyance.. Now a heavy tick when cold or hot and loss of power that is a sign of a failed cam phaser and the engine reverts to 2V operation. If your engine is really blown, get a 3V 5.4 short block and make sure you change your oil regularly and don't take it past 5K miles on a change.. keeping fresh clean oil in this engine goes a long way to keeping it happy. The motor has a rod knocking. I got the truck for next to nothing with the problem. I was looking at a rebuilt long block that has a 3 year unlimited mileage warranty with new cam phasers. My understanding is they use a different design oil pump as well. Promar engine out of NJ. If it is just a rod knocking, it might simply we worth rebuilding the one you have. i would guess it might be cheaper.Re: Can I hack into my heat ducts in new TT? The vent Pillows are the best thing you can do. I have one for my crank up vent and another that is snapped into my shower dome. Makes a WORLD of difference. CLOSE ALL BLINDS also helps. My trailer can stay cool in 100 degree weather by doing these things.
