PondsRe: Semana SantaI haven't checked in here in ages and that includes RV.Net itself. When I do its to see if folks I knew are still around. Glad to see most are. I hit 82 last Thur. In good health and we're still full timing mostly on the east coast and try to do more out west. As much as we enjoyed all our trips to Mexico it seems a hassle now that I no longer have the temperament for hassles. And, there's so much we haven't seen in the US. We'll snowbird this winter for the first time in Rockport TX so that may lead to more exploration in the mid-west. Great to see that so many of you are still kicking.Re: Harvest HostsWe prefer Boondockers Welcome because most will permit a 2 or 3 night stay and some have electric.Re: Toyo tires Fulltimers wrote: When I got my Toyos the installer put 110psi in them without my knowledge. The thing rode like a rock. After I found they were at 110 I checked the Toyo web site and it actually said to use the Michelin inflation chart which stated for my weight I should run 95 front and 85 rear. Rides nice now. Love my Falkens made by Sumo. Falken told me to use the values on the Motorhome wall (115F; 95R). I'll compare that with the Michelin chart.Re: Solo fire pitA neighbor had one and said he wouldn't do it again because you can't see the fire like with a regular one. Just his opinion...I agree with him after seeing his.Re: TIRES?Got Falken RI 150's a few months (and 2K miles) ago and love them. Swear the ride is better than the Michelins. At half the price. They are part of Sumitomo.Re: Bahia Kino?Moisheh: "Belgique: You should come back for a stay!! I still remember when we first met in person. You had 2 HUGE dogs. Or maybe it was one extra huge dog!" Wrongo: THREE Huge ones (Choc Lab, Bouvier, Newfie) (300 pounds of dogs) and, 2 kittens. One kitten decided he liked Islandia so much that he disappeared. We waited a few days and had to press on to PV. Half way there Islandia called and said he was in a shed and no one could get to him but they would feed him and we should continue our trip and get him on our return. We did and you saw him and his brother during your visit with us in NC years later. He disappeared again several years ago in Perry but his brother is still with us. One thing about the dogs: we sailed through check points because they would open the door, see all 3 staring at them and then wave us on. Good times! Never know where/when we'll show up.Re: Bahia Kino? This Moisheh post is very similar to one I got almost 15 years ago on our maiden voyage to Kino etc. It was spot on and greatly alleviated normal apprehension. He helped us throughout our trip down the coast and we've remained friends all this time. Happy New Year Moisheh and your wonderful bride!Re: Hwy 321 Columbia to Savannah? We do it all the time. All it takes is a wreck on 95 to make it quicker too.Re: Living in Mexico on a tourist Visa. Legal or Illegal?I've been lurking for a long time Mr. Moisheh. Don't comment because my experience is so out of date. All is well. Best to you and your bride.
