Can you imagine crawling up top and taking that monstrosity apart and packing it up. Then you pay big $$ to ship it to them and maybe get it back repaired and not knowing if it is until you put it back together . NO WAY !!!!!!Re: Winegard X1 Pathway SatelliteAs stated before most of my time will be spent in the SE and the Western part of the US. Unlike most folks I’m having to give up my OTA antenna to make room for the X1 so I’m hoping it performs well. That said I know it will not perform well in rain and around trees. I try to avoid trees as I have 285 watts of solar that has to be fed. Now rain that’s another story.Re: Winegard X1 Pathway Satellite K Charles wrote: We have a pathway X1 and it has worked for us from Maine down to Florida. Very interesting that it has worked well for you in the NE corner of the US where it’s not supposed to work very well. Thanks for sharing.Re: Winegard X1 Pathway Satellite Housted wrote: Have had the X1 on the roof of our 5er for 2+ years. Used from southern AZ to norther OR with no problems. Housted Good info. I hope mine will perform as well as yours.Re: Winegard X1 Pathway SatelliteI totally get it that I will be at a disadvantage with a stationary antenna vs portable. That said , assuming a clear line of sight, will the X1 perform on par with others that have both eastern/ western arcs except in the upper NE? We have had several stationary antennas before and usually have no problem finding a spot that works. I just hope the X1 is a good performer compared to others we’ve owned.?Winegard X1 Pathway SatelliteLooking for anyone with real world experience with this particular antenna. I just purchased this model and was wondering how often there were issues due to the West only feeds. I will be traveling primarily in the South and the Western part of the US. That said I would still be interested to know how far North anyone has been able to use the X1. Before anyone asks I bought this particular antenna instead of say the X2 (which accesses east and west) due to a limited footprint and even less storage on my B van. In other words I had absolutely no other choice. Thanks .Re: Dish network questionReally good info Solo, I appreciate your input. This is a perfect example of how we can simplify things for each other.Re: Dish network questionThanks all for your responses. From your posts it appears this will be a viable option. I will be going from cable to dish in our home as well so I’ll be using one of the receivers in the RV. Sure dread getting familiar with their DVR, programming their remote where it’ll operate their equipment as well as mine. Part of it I guess.Re: Dish network questionIs chat quicker/ easier than the phone call?Dish network questionHere’s the plan. I have a b van with a very limited footprint on my roof. I’m looking to remove the over the air antenna to make room for the Winegard Pathway x1. Now for the question . How much of a hassle would it be on rare occasionsi to call or go on line daily to change service locations for network programming. Also is Dish ok with this or do they get bent out of shape with frequent changes? Thanks,
