So far, the swimming noodle for cabinets, drawers, and areas where you don't want things to move around in is my favorite, and fabulous! Very cheap to buy, easy to cut, (I used my scissors), and work everywhere with no sticky residue that you get from tape or even velcro. In our '88 motorhome, when we travel, the wood blinds made so much noise, my DH drove me crazy complaining about the level of noise. So, I took heavy duty velcro and cut a strap about 10" long, pulled the blinds up (compressed as much as I could), then wrapped the strap around the blinds and up over the rod at the top, and wrapped the strap tightly. No more noise from the blinds hitting the side of the wall or window. Easy to undo and put in back in place when we get to our destination, and when we get ready to move takes no more that 5 min total to strap back up. When you measure for the velcro straps, be sure to allow about a 2" overage so they will stay fastened. The metal cover for the stovetop also rattled, so I laid a thin beach towel folded between the burners and the stovetop, and no more noise.
