Fort McAllister state park is close to Savannah and has a lot of civil war history. Nice campground also just make sure you have bug spray for late evening

Cheaha state park in Alabama
Planing a trip here and wondering what is the best route to get there. We will be coming up I-65 to Montgomery, pulling a 33 foot fifth wheel. Map quest has us getting off interstate 173 getting on US231 going to SR9 , SR77 working way up though there to the park. My question is what is the best route for pulling a fifth wheel to this park. Thanks for any replies and help

Thanks for the replies. The no see umps shouldn’t bother us to bad as we live out in the country close to a wet creek area. Reservations are made for next March.
