No difference in handling etc. Expensive yes but for us if it prevents one mishap will be worth the cost. Similar to insurance you hope you never need I guess.Re: Roaoke VA Camping OptionsAnother vote for Salem Village. Stayed here several times in the past and it worked well. Check the driving distance to your daughters soccer field, that may help you decide.Re: Generac 75DSimilar sounding problem with my 75D a few years ago. Replacing the starter cured the problem. Two issues though - the starter was a real pain to replace (one mounting bolt is very difficult to access) and I did get a "bad" starter which was replaced under warrantee after about 6 months. There is no separate battery for the generator. Starts using house batteries. Should add that I bought the first replacement starter online but then found a local starter/generator repair shop that supplied the same starter at a lower price with no shipping.Re: Allison 3000 fluid changeDoes appear a bit high. Changing the fluid is an easy do it yourself project if you are so inclined. Should take under an hour including changing the filters. Just follow the directions that come with the filter exactly. I find it easier than hanging the engine oil.Re: Need help switching to AGM coach batteriesI switched from 4 Trojan T125's (6 Volt) to 3 Lifeline's (AGM 31T 12 volt) with no problem. I did loose a few amphour's of capacity with the new batteries but for us that was not an issue. Check here: http://www.powerstridebattery.com/lifeline-gpl-31t-deep-cycle-agm-batteryRe: 2013 Traverse - Looking to set up to tow 4 downWe own a 2013 Traverse and have towed it about 6000 miles over the past year - no issues. You do need to follow the instructions in the owners manual and not exceed 65 MPH as directed in the owners manual. Have a Blue Ox base plate self installed with no issues. Also added a Ready Brake because of the weight of the Traverse, works very well. Lost about 1 MPG when towing. Found a lot helpful information on some of the Traverse forums on the web. That would be another excellent source of information. Hope this helps.Re: Power steering filterThink the location has been identified well. The filter is probably white with red lettering. Also there probably is a filter inside the hydraulic reservoir.Re: No StartGo here (refer to bottom of second page, Figure 3) to download a pdf of the Delco Remy instruction sheet for the starter used on the Cummins ISC. Not sure if that is what you have. Check for 12 volts at the starter SOLENOID when trying to start the engine (not the starter). If you have 12 volts there than either the solenoid is bad or the starter ground is bad. If you do not have 12 volts than there is a problem in the "start permissive" circuit. As an additional thought, is your "parking break" (the yellow button) in the pulled out/parked position? It may contain an interlock that will not let you start the engine or pull up the levelers.Re: LCD or LEDWe went with the LED version. Picture quality is very similar (to me anyway) but the LED versions typically are both lighter and thinner, things that made the install easier for us. Have fun looking.Re: Inverter Issue hershey wrote: The inverter and generator really are two separate items but they are tied together by the batteries. If generator won't start, meaning it won't spin over fast or long enough, then the problem is either the starter (unlikely) or the battery is bad or the connection(s) to the battery are bad. Your battery??? If the battery at idle shows that its charged then when a load is added, the same diagnosis as above for the generator except the starter part. Not knowing the age of the batteries, I'd suggest you do the easy first: remove the cables, ONE AT A TIME and clean the connection. THere can be a lot of connections depending on how many batteries you have. Don't assume that you can remove all the battery cables at once and clean and replace. Your memory isn't that good. One at a time. Wear eye protection. If that doesn't cure your problem, have the battery(s) load tested. If one is bad, replace all of them if possible. Replacing one battery out of a bank of batteries is just buying a bit of time until you have to repeat the process. X2
