What does this switch control?Satellite TV hookupI have a glendale titanium and it has a cable hook up and a satellite hookup on the left rear. I hooked up my coax from the dish in the the satellite hookup and hooked into the sat hookup inside and cannot get signal. I went outside with the receiver and hooked up the sat coax to the receiver and hooked the out on the receiver into the sat hookup and could watch tv from the sat hookup inside it was a little snowy on the picture. it was also a little better but still snowy on the cable hookup. So I know signal is getting inside why is the sat in signal not making the trip to the receiver when hookup up? Thanks in advance for the helpRe: Smokey mountainsWell it's depends on which side. If you are going to stay on the Tennessee side I can't help. If you are gonna stay on the NC side we stay at http://www.mysmokymountainvacation.com/camp-smokemont.html there is no hookups in the national park campground It's near Cherokee NC. In Cherokee there are a lot of campground to choose from. Got this from another post here on these forums. Check it out if you haven't already. http://www.rv.net/forum/index.cfm/fuseaction/thread/tid/27604179.cfmRe: Hot water heater won't stay firedJust wanted to update you on my HWH problem. Before I posted I had cleaned the igniter probes and it did not change the results. That's when I turned to the forum and asked for help. So this morning I noticed that the hard door was open and the screen door was closed and lights on in my camper where my granddaughters were playing in it yesterday. Of course they were supervised by my wife and she did not shut the camper back. So I went out to shut the door and said what the heck. Let me turn it on and see what happens. So I flipped the HWH switch it started the cycle. The flame lit and kept on burning. I let it run for a few minutes and shut it off because I had to get ready for work. I will check on it this evening when I get home and let it cycle through a couple times to make sure it is working properly.Re: How often do you cange oil if little usI've always heard change it every 6 months or 3000 miles then with synthetic every 5000 miles or 6 months. I've never had a problem with not racking up enough miles to change oil in any of my vehicles even when I have two personal and a company vehicle On another site I have read where people only change the oil when the analysis says it's time. So my question is why does the oil have to get changed every 6 months or a year if it' does not have miles on it. Does oil have a shelf life? If it does sit can you send the oil off for analysis and see if it's still good?.Re: Tow vehicle- do you use GPS or just a compas and a map ?A GPS is not perfect neither is reading a map. When I started driving I had a job of delivering parts to tree cutting crews on right of ways. All roads didn't have names a lot were route numbers so directions usually came by landmarks. For example. Turn left next to the texaco go a couple miles til u pass the butler home place that burned down a couple years ago and turn right. When you pass a row of trees we cut down last week turn right beside the white horse standing in the corner of the pasture. Once enhanced 911 came along all streets and roads have a name and number in most areas. I learned to read a map and form a route to get to the town where my directions would start. I didn't always choose the best route but I could get to where I was going. Just like with a gps giving you a wrong turn so were my choices on roads on a map they sometimes were dead ends. Although the gps sometimes gets it wrong so does the human reader/ interpreter of f the map. I use a gps now even when I know where I'm going just as a visual and time estimator Along with mine alerts me of traffic congestion from daily travel and accidents. It has kept me from long wait times in traffic by avoiding the area and it will re route me to avoid it so I don't have to stop and read a map. If I wanna see the country I can set it to keep me off interstates or I can just use interstates as much as possible. Most people that have issues with their gps takes it out of the box and starts using it never changing the setting to best suit them.Hot water heater won't stay firedOk guys I've not been around here for a while but I have run into a problem. I was getting my camper ready for a fishing trip next week checking everything from the cold winter I busted off the suburban hot water heater heard the auto igniter clicking and the flame bust off to heat the water. I moved on to doing something else came back a few minutes later and the hot water was no longer heating and I had not hot water. I turned it off and back on and it started again but every time the igniter stops it's start up cycle the flame goes out. It will reset and try again and same results when the igniter stops the flame goes out. I cleaned the gas tube cleaned the igniter the gas nozzle at the end of the tube. What is the next thing to check? Oh yea the electric element will heat the hot water but I will not have power on the fishing trip just the battery.
