Keep an empty jug or 2 and fill back up at the truck stop so you have extra. I just paid around $4.00/gallon at Petro in central Missouri.Re: Hot water heater question .....Our current 5er has the gas switch inside and the electric on the water heater, as pictured in the previous post. Our previous 5er was the same, except it did have an electric switch inside. However, the outside electric switch was the master so it had to be on in order for the inside one to work. I liked this set up.Re: Hensley Arrow tipsHitch helper good. I hooked and unhooked and various and awkward angles. As said before, it's worth the effort. Nothing compares, except may Pro-Pride. Be patient.Re: Honda 3000Mine runs one 15,000 btu ac along with normal lights, tv, etc. I agree that it probably won't be reliable for another ac. It usually trips out if we try to use a hair dryer, curling iron, microwave, electric skillet.Re: Camping With ToddlersWe used the dinette when ours were young and just got a safety rail that slid under the cushions.Re: Nascar Hall of Fame - Charlotte, NCI think the museum is worth the time. I was there as part of a work event earlier this year. I wouldn't be opposed to taking my 5er downtown if there was a parking option. Would definitely try to get a street view of the parking area to make a final decision.Re: Campground recommendation Memphis or North Miss. We've also stayed at the Agricenter several times due to work, but it's also handy as previous poster says. Stayed once at Graceland and it was also nice. Tom Sawyer's also seems to get good reviews, but we haven't ever stayed there.Re: Generator questionWe have 5500 built in on our toy hauler and runs on gas. I don't think I'd like using propane since we often run overnight or for entire weekends. Will run both a/c's. Previous camper we used a 3000 Yamaha. Great generator and good fuel economy. Minor inconvenience to plug it in. Ran one 15,000 btu a/c fine. If you don't have generator prep on your rig, I'd go with portable.Re: Using a Cpap in my AF 27-5I have a small Jackery that I paid around $2-$300. Works fine. Recharge in the truck during the day as we drive.Re: Onan Running ProblemsMy 5500 on toy hauler in signature was boiling the fuel, then shutting down. We made a shroud to channel the exhaust side away from the air intake side. The symptoms made is appear to be a clogged carb/fuel filter or bad fuel pump.
