This ^^^ Always amazes me when I see idiots driving in the left lane pulling a trailer, how can you own a tow vehicle and trailer and not know the laws ?Re: Moving from MH to TT rbpru wrote: Welcome to the TT side of RVing. Our TT decision was simple; we park and see the local sights. So the TV gets most of the mileage. We also decided on a 25 ft. max, so we could pull it through the city street when hunting down quilt shops on the way to the campground. We rented a MH and took it through San Francisco (downtown) on our way to Westport, seriously I almost threw up, that was an E-Ticket type ride I never want to do again ha ha Next time it will be our 18ft TT ;)Re: British TTI love the Sunroofs, those are pretty amazing looking. Trailer is very nice ! How long is it ? SRe: Quietest generators? We have a Honda generator eu6500is, it's pretty quiet, only downfall is we keep it in the back of the truck locked up, so it makes it a little noisier echoing off the insides of the truck bed, so a sound shelter would help us out !Re: Do you cross your safety chains? Ron3rd wrote: jauguston wrote: Many hitches are not removable. That part is BS. Jim X2, pure BS and having to remove your hitch. And yes, always cross your chains. I would guess it depends on where your hitch or ball is on your tow vehicle but I left my hitch on and it was blocking my license plate and the cop pulled me over and gave me a ticket, booo I'm in California.Re: That accident sway video ... questionOh you know that guy filled his shorts hahahahah I only laugh because that happened to me, coming in from Bakersfield down to Burbank on the I-5, my dad had put too much weight on the back of the trailer and I was going too fast, the trailer started to swap/sway so hard my arms were almost yanked out of my sockets, I panicked and slammed on the brakes ..... OH $^%&, thank goodness the 18 wheeler saw my dilemma and he pulled across all 5 lanes of traffic to prevent me from hurting anyone else and I jack knifed and slammed into the center divider ! Totaled the truck, thank goodness it was a HUGE Ford truck and shredded the tires off the rims from it sliding sideways. This was in the 80's, my dad and brother were asleep, the last thing my dad heard me scream was 'We're all gonna die' He woke up as we hit, we were all good but boy did I have the worst case of whiplash ! I'm a much better driver now and drive the speed limit in a trailer !Re: First real trip out with solar panel chr$ wrote: I Have three 130 Watt Kyocera panels, a Midnight Kid MPPT controller, and two 5 year old GC2-s. We've been out about 4 times now, ranging from desert to forest, and the batteries stay above 80% SOC with no attempt to save energy. I do have LED lighting. At home, the TT stays unplugged unless we are running the fridge a couple of days before leaving for a trip. The KID treats my geriatric batteries very very well. I went from topping them up with water every 2-3 weeks to every 2-3 months when it just sits. Happy with my System. Take your time and check Craigslist regularly and you will find good quality panels for very cheap prices. I got my New old stock Kyoceras for 65 cents per watt. not counting the batteries I already had, I think I am $650 into my whole system. If only Tesla made a mini power wall for RV's... It's coming sooner than you think ;)Re: HELLO! I'd do to your trailer what you want and the back of the truck with a camper shell and mattress would be good too, especially if still connected to the trailer ;) Reading these replies just make me cringe, so judgmental and not even suggestions just a bunch of grumpy people sheesh. Whats wrong with a tent? Tent camped almost my whole life as with most on this forum. Thats just a stupid statement. And I dont know where your at but from what I see, theres 40yr.olds that I would call kids! That's my statement and I stand by it, if I wanted info on a tent I'd go to the tent forum, I'm in the TT section cause I like travel trailers. My opinion stupid or not !
