They resembled just a typical screw only they had a head on them that were painted white.Re: Stainless steel screwsI picked up the screws at my local hardware store so I have no idea what grade they were. All screws were covered in dicor. I used them to replace the ones that were holding the transition trim on. From the factory the transition bars were secured to the luan plywood and I ended up having to go into the aluminum substructure. I needed 2 in long screws otherwise I would have just replaced them with some from a rv store. So do I need to remove them if they are not the right grade? Last year I resecured the roof rack also since it was only mounted to the luan and the standoffs were loose. I used stainless screws there as well and secured to the substructure. Again everything is covered in dicor. Please advise and thanks for all the help!Re: Stainless steel screwsThanks for the information everyone.Stainless steel screwsHello. Is it ok to use stainless hardware on the roof of my trailer? I resealed my winegard antenna and was going to replace the screws with stainless. The screws do go into aluminum and I was told that this can cause corrosion?Re: Next level roof questionI tried HR but no success yet..Next level roof questionI own a 2007 Holiday Rambler next Level 5th wheel. I made a mistake and took it to a repair shop to have the roof inspected. No leaks. They told me HR doesn’t put wide enough termination bars on the front and rear caps and I need wider ones to prevent issues. So they did it and it looks awful, and costed me 800 bucks . They dragged their feet when asked to fix it so I said the heck with it I will do it myself. I want to put the stock trim and vinyl cap back on. Any one know what HR used?Re: Holiday rambler roof questionI have a picture of it. But I’m not real technologically advanced, how do you post pictures? I’m not kidding the caulking was piled on nearly a inch thick. When I picked it up initially I seen the roof caulking from the ground. I climbed up to investigate and found the rest. The owner agreed that his employees used way too much caulking and they would redo it. I left it there for 2 weeks and nothing was done. I got upset and said the heck with it I will do it myself. I called the place and emailed twice- I finally got a response that the owner had a stroke. I feel bad for asking but asked for a partial refund but no response yet... Moving forward: Does anyone know where I could locate the OEM style aluminum strap and screw cover for a holiday rambler? The cover is not like a typical vinyl insert it covers the entire transition bar.Holiday rambler roof questionHello I took my hr next level in to a shop for a routine roof inspection. They told me that I need to replace the front and rear transition trim on the roof because it is not “wide enough “. Mind you I had no issues with the coach, and it has the original tpo roof on it in great shape . They said this is a known issue with hr trailers. I got it back and it looks awful. They used sikaflex not Dicor and the caulking sat nearly 1 in tall. I paid the bill after waiting several days to have them fix it. I scraped the sikaflex off and found that they used residential deck screws to fasten it and both trim pieces have a splice in them now. Hr trailer transition trim makes a soft 90 deg bend on the ends since the roof goes down the sides approximately 4 inches. Before I seal this up should I replace the screws and trim with a solid piece or lay down some self leveling Dicor and call it a day? It appears that butyl tape was used under the trim.Re: Leaking antenna fixPerfect I will check out the website. Thanks again for all the help!Re: Leaking antenna fixThink I should take it back off and inspect further? I ran water on it and it doesn’t look like it is leaking anymore since I sealed up the boot...
