I'd really like the interior panel for the air conditioning not eat up so much headroom. Technically, these things are called air distribution panels and they often drop down 2½ inches from the ceiling. I'm sure that an engineer could design a panel with a smaller profile to direct air. In a Class B, every single inch counts. Most RV manufacturers somehow figure that the person who uses the sink and cooktop doesn't need those 2½ inches of headroom, so the air distribution panels are often placed mid-galley. It shouldn't be a surprise to manufacturers that these days, kitchen duties are often shared by a couple and that some tall men (and women) cook and/or wash dishes.Re: What's Your 2014 Wish for RV DesignOne more thing: I'd like the Sprinter-based Class B vans to have power sliding doors. Manual sliding doors are fine until you park on a hill. If you have to park pointing downhill, the doors become guillotines.Re: What's Your 2014 Wish for RV Design bhh wrote: A real length queen sized bed both for fit of linens and fit of occupants. 5" means a whole lot more to me than your floorplan designers. I agree. It seems crazy to me to have big motorhomes with smaller than normal beds. My legs don't get any shorter when I step into an RV.
