stew47..Am glad you got your reservation for Fishing Bridge. We called last week and are booked for two weeks there in Sept. 2015. Can't imagine spending any less time than that in Yellowstone. Well, thanks to all of you who have answered so far! You people are a wealth of info. In the northeast, where land is very expensive, parking is always an issue, whether it's a shopping mall or motel. We just don't have the experience yet of traveling in the wider open spaces. Here's my first post to this forum: We have a 17 foot TT which we've been using for two years. After traveling around the northeast (and Ohio and KY) we wish to visit New Orleans and points south during early spring/late winter. However, I am concerned about the water system in the trailer freezing up, until we actually reach the South. I'd like to drive down to that area "dry", then spend a couple of weeks in southern campgrounds using the trailer normally, then drain the system just before driving back home north. Does anyone have knowledge about "friendly" motels along the route where one can find room to park a trailer rig while using the motel? I don't wish to trust to luck in finding such, but be able to plan ahead. I haven't seen motel chains which advertise such accomodations, but perhaps they exist?
