(Love being able to record 5 channels at once w/DTV) But want more than 1 receiver to record with what the Wally HD will only do. I see the Hopper 3 won't work with the Portable dishes only the Wally. I wont to be able to record many more channels at one like the eHopper 3 will do. Sure could get the Hopper 3 with a regular dish antenna. Like I do now with DTV. Wally HD just doesn't offer enough for me.Re: DirecTV dropping DNSI see on another forum monacoers.org this also works on both LA spot beam and also NY spot beam if you declare a local service address in each area. I would rather get NY locals for earlier recording times. Shall see if all this goes away on June 1Re: DirecTV dropping DNSLet us know on June 1 if it goes away. ThanksRe: DirecTV dropping DNS 2oldman wrote: No DNS. Location= 4 corners NM Not paying any extra for anything. WOW Thanks for the screenshot I can't believe they are doing the LA spot beam all over the country. Any ideas why this is working for you? Did you have any trouble changing your service address to LA and did they want to come and set up a new dish? Did you just pick a generic address or do you have a property in LA? All most enlightening...Re: DirecTV dropping DNS 2oldman wrote: was_butnotnow wrote: Do you get the LA feeds everywhere or just in the LA area? I get them everywhere, everywhere being NM, AZ, CA, UT. And is that without having DNS service? What shows up on your receiver the local station ID like KCBS or CBSwHD, etc. If you are seeing KCBS that should only spot beam to LA area. If CBSw then that is DNS service. It would help to know you current location. If you are in LA area do you see both KCBS and CBSw channels? And if not in CA what is shown? Are you paying $20 extra for what is called on the bill Network Packages? Just trying to understand...Re: DirecTV dropping DNSI got fed up with this hoop-jumping and just switched my service address to Los Angeles, figuring that was the DNS service, and it turns out I was right. I don't care about literal 'locals', I just care about any network feed I can get. Do you get the LA feeds everywhere or just in the LA area?Re: DirecTV dropping DNSOff-topic but I got a chuckle when I got an email from DirecTV that said they were going to give me NFL Sunday Ticket for FREE. Ya like there is going to be live football on this fall. And I don't even care to watch the NFL.Re: DirecTV dropping DNSHas anyone called them to ask if they are going to make it easier to switch local channels via zip code? There is a phone number in the email to call with questions. OK I called and asked if they were going to make it easier to change to local channels when traveling. He understood and said that was a good question. I explained they know how many people have this service and that they will move to Dish if they don't do something so we can just call to change service. He took lots of time researching and came back with I would have to put in a move order to move my service address. I told him in the past I have been able to call with a new zip and it was changed. I asked if there was a special dept I should ask for when calling in? Didn't know of any. Told him he should take this up the line with employee suggestion so as to save thousands of customers. We'll see. Has anyone had success calling in to change local channels in the past?Re: Help finding fresh date Tires henleyd wrote: I had mich. 22’s and just went to Toyos. Just a fraction diff n size, much less $ and rode as good as Mich. Date is close to manuf date. Heck, when I got my bus, the orig tires were already 6 months old. Hard to get close to manuf date, but my Toyo dealer did great. $2600, 6 tires, mount, balanced, and out the door. I went in w cash and negotiated, and got a deal $500 less than Michelin’s. I had my orig tires 6.5 years, started sidewall cracking and 22,000 miles. Cash is king. And again, look at Toyos. A pleasant surprise. I just got this week 6 Toyos 255 70R 22.5 M122 Load H tires in the Tucson area Out The Door for $2499 at a well respected local tire dealer for my 05 Monaco Cayman 36 PDQ DP.Re: New Source of TV While on the RoadThe big advantage is that watching TV this way uses NO data on my phone plan, therefore no additional cost. Aren't you still downloading DTV content over the cell internet, thus using your data?
