To the best of our knowledge Thor was the first to build an A coach on an E350 chassis. They are all 94" wide and between 25.5 and 26.5 feet long. All floor plans have one slide. When we downsized from our 37 foot A, we wanted a more narrow and shorter class A. This one fit both criteria!!!Re: Class A on Class C Chassis Thor Vegas rv4jimnme wrote: Been looking at Class C's and found this new concept. Anybody know anything or buy one? thanks We have owned and been pleased with our Thor Axis for about 18 months now. There are now 5 different floor plans for the Axis/Vegas, with the 25.3 being the latest addition. When we bought there was only one floor plan ,the 24.1, and we had to travel out of state just to see and purchase it! If you check out the Thor Forum there are quite a few Axis/Vegas owners on it that can give you lots of feedback based on their experiences with these coaches.Re: Flat TowingWe absolutely love our 2013 Ford C-Max Energi. Easy tow 4 down and great fuel economy in gas or electric mode. You can even plug in at most campgrounds!!Re: Motorhome Emergency Exit WindowI have been researching escape windows, too. Ours is half of a 24 by 48 window. We want the entire window to be an escape one. The useable space on ours is only about 18" high, including the red latches we would need to crawl over, by 24 " wide. Since we have Hehr windows I called their customer service. Problem we are running into is that you can't get a matching frameless escape window in our size, so we would have to go to a framed one. A framed slider escape window with a hinged top would run between $550-$600, but the entire window opens for easier exit. All Rite makes a custom after market framed escape window, but they wanted over $1600 for it! Still hoping to locate another option that would more closely match our frameless windows. Not looking too hopeful!! Check with your window manufacturer first. If you have framed windows, you may have more options! Please post what you find. Thanks!!Re: To sofa or no sofaWe don't have a trailer any more but can still give some sofa feedback!! When we downsized we eliminated any coach without a sofa. That's because we rarely used the dinette in our previous trailer or class A, so didn't want another!! Would love recliners even more, but we wouldn't want to give up the 3 seat belts and extra bed that comes with our sofa!Re: 2015 Winnebago Brave 26A and Thor Vegas 24.1We have had our Axis 24.1 for just over a year. Has worked out great for us! Get an Internet quote from RV Direct. We bought from them and took delivery in Florida. Have yet to see anybody beat their price!Re: A Latex Mattress solved my sleep/back painWe would also highly recommend Pure Latex Bliss mattresses! We have had ours for a year now. We are seeing the same back benefits as well as an end to Rob's almost constant leg cramps. It is an expensive purchase but worth every penny!!! Best mattress we have ever owned!!Re: New Tow CarWe are towing a Ford C-Max Energi. Bought to tow but now our daily driver while the bigger gas guzzlers stay in the driveway! Tows great with no restrictions except you do need a charge line. Roomy interior with lots of headroom. Also has a great Federal tax credit! With the electric miles for daily errands and plugging in at campgrounds our overall average went over 140 mpg last summer!! :) We are down to an overall average of 120 now because the electric battery has less range in the colder months. Our favorite car ever!!!! :)Re: Thor Axis TVThere are connections for the outside tv in the storage bay below the refrigerator. The bedroom tv has a built in DVD player. The main tv has an HDMI connection in the cabinet over the sink. That is also where the antenna/cable switch is. We have purchased a DVD player for the main tv as it did not come with one. We have been extremely frustrated with tuning all of the tvs.. We get strange station numbers. Is anyone else having similar issues?Re: Another Axis Question? Our Axis is getting around 10 mpg towing a Ford C-Max. Insurance is $829 per year with Progressive. Hard to compare insurance though because of different deductibles and options. We have used them for both our motor homes and love the disappearing deductible when you stay claim free. Ours is at zero!!!!
