I performed about a $1000 of work (did myself), added air horn, new shocks, brake rotors, pads, brake lines, balanced drive shaft(i sent this out to a specialist), new front tires, radiator flush, radiator hoses, thermostat. this beast gets 10-12 on the highway and <10mpg on the street. But it tows my little 18' ultra lite travel trailer like it's not there. i've had it for six months and driven it 4k miles, sadly more for work than camping. i've hauled over 4k pounds in the bed numerous times for 100 mile trips. no problems on any of these trips. good deals are out there, go for a gas engine 1999 or newer 3/4 ton or better, you won't have that nagging feeling about having enough truck.Re: dumping fresh water questionI keep my fresh water after a trip, refill the tank when I get home and use it for the next trip. been doing this for the past 9 years. I don't drink the water, just use it for everything else.Re: ~Post your campsite photos here~ Ashbourne wrote: Taken last winter on the Algarve in Portugal. 3 fivers can be seen, and although it looks crowded each site has enough room to offer privacy and still be sociable with your neighbors. Our fiver is on the left, next to us are a couple from the former East Berlin in Germany. what did you tow the fiver with? the nissan? is it a diesel? nice setup.Re: HEY we need a sticky for our TT pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!good to see others towing with their mid-sized trucks. Here's my 2006 4wd frontier, the truck has a 2" leveling kit, with my 2008 weekender 180. Re: Post your tow vehicle pics hereThis is my 2006 nissan frontier 4x4 with a 2" leveling kit installed. I would have never installed the leveling kit if i knew i would be towing with this truck. In both pics the trailer is fully hooked up with WDH.
